Posting History (144)

this ...

We recruit well, but development has regressed. We've done well with having olympic caliber workout partners at the mid weights. But Haught’s style is not producing the results we need. Our upper weights need to generate more offense, improve their scrambling, and round out key areas of their wrestling. There’s definitely room for improvement.

Good luck Ty Finn at D3 Nationals

Finished the year 24-1 for NYU and seeded 4th at 174.

Also on Instagram

We've always posted on social media whos competing at tournaments and our starting lineups. Notbsure the confusion by original poster.

Bigger NIL Pool of money now to compete

Fu and Pry were dealing with pennies whereas Franklin has the benjamins with the reallocated budget

why would you hate Dresser?

Dresser came in and took over a floundering program that was close to being axed. He turned the program around and led us to a national podium finish and a streak of all-american years that continued today. Dresser departed the program in great shape for Robie (who Dresser brought in to Tech back in 2006) and returned home to Iowa where his roots are.

Cry me a river...

The schedule is designed to prepare our student athletes for podium finishes. We get zero revenue from home match ticket sales. You can cheer on our guys by watching online.

Vincenzo joseph is the big draw for TJ

Can't disagree with his decision. Wish TJ the best. We definitely need an upgrade from our current upper weight coach.

pretty accurate take on VT's upper weight developmental needs

We need a new upperweight coach and bring in some upperweight talent into the RTC

Oklahoma St in 60s, 70s and 80s

They had arguably the best collegiate wrestler of all time in Yojiro Uetake.

Lovett’s strength is his ride on top.

Even if Henson got out, he still would need a TD to win. Thought is that he’d have 2 full minutes to get a TD. There’s no guarantee it would have went to OT. And if the match ended OT with no score, the 2 30 second ride outs are Lovett’s advantage. So the coaches and Henson strategized that to beat Lovett, Henson needed a TD in regulation. They believed in his ability and he almost had it. I agree with the coaches strategy there.

yes, need a new upperweights coach.

We have 3 strong assts at the light-mid weights that are offensive minded. The development of our 125-157 as example.

That's not a realistic comparison.

There is a big dropoff between Bo and James. No offense to James, but Bo has the potential of being a 4-time natty champ. He's already competing at the senior level.

How many national champs did Dresser have?

The competition in the league has elevated in the last decade. I'd rather have guys with natty champ and AA goals than winning a conference championship in a 7 team league.
