Posting History (53)

LOL, of course you did, and thank you for that memory. On the day of my

employment poly I had two flat tires enroute. MD State Police called ahead for my late arrival - passed anyway.

Willie, we even complain when we win. And it's hard for me to ignore the

blathering, whining, cry-babies who can't help themselves... I say grow up and talk to your therapist about your issues... just don't kick the dog, yell at the kids or hit the booze! Tone it down a notch or two... Wait there... now I'm doing it... Where's my Evan Williams?

If all of this is true and "we" are not doing anything for whatever reason

it makes me sick! Because, once we get left behind there will never be another chance. I fear we are at the point of no return. And I feel this knot in my gut that we will some day look back with regret that VT missed this opportunity to be a player in the new NCAA (or whatever it will be called). I feel as though I am powerless and am at the mercy of people who don't seem to care or are afraid to make a change or are just incapable of seeing the future landscape of college football... It is very frustrating. I remember when UMD left the ACC and now I can see the reasoning and the courage it took to do that. Ugh, go hokies!

Thanks '83 for the voice of reason. It's all very very frustrating to me

and with only 10 to 15 years left I will NOT unfollow the Hokies but on the other hand I will not spend as much time and energy fretting about the OL, or the DC or W/L etc... Like someone posted IIWII Love all you Hokies, over and out

When somebody says: "I heard something..." What the hell does that mean?

Does it mean that he/she/they heard something in a team meeting or overheard a dinner conversation or... saw it on the internet? If Will or Chris or Andy say "I heard..." then it carries credibility, but when some random poster trying to make a point claims he/she/they "heard" something it probably means it was seen on the internet which is sketchy at best. What is amazing to me is that there were so many factors involved in

firing those 16" guns. Both ships moving, wind, range, waves, speed, pitch, rotation of the earth, and motion of your ship... and it was all manually accomplished with a target 15 - 20 miles away. Amazing!

First time in Lexington a few weeks ago to visit family. Downtown Lex

around the Rupp Arena is very vibrant and just glitzy enough to be a cool place to live and work. That is all.

As a fan of VT and college football, what does all of this mean to me

as a viewer?? I don't have a smart tv "yet" - am I gonna need one? AppleTV works fine for now. Will games be on cable, will they be PPV, will they stream on YouTube... What the hell is my Saturday going to feel like? Will there be more commercials, more games of no consequence, will it all cost more and more every year? I'm not sure I will invest very much more time and money into the whole college football "thing".

Great image. iPhone or dslr on a tripod? Thanks for sharing CCH. Also nice

shot of the "belt of Venus" in the background. The dark band is the earth's shadow opposite the sun as it sets (I assume) and the pink band is the belt!

Chip, thanks for posting - it is a wonderful story and nice to know more

about people on TSL - especially the people like you making a difference by getting involved and walking the talk! Thanks for all that you do.
