coming into the season, this team has been consistently competitive, especially in league play all season. THE FSU "Unicorn" game is the only real head scratcher outcome we had during the ACC schedule. Which makes those last second losses hurt even more because they truly are the difference between the NCAAs & the NIT. Obviously, the coaches have had the team scouted & prepared every game. It feels like a season of "what could have been", but I've enjoyed the effort and the ride regardless.

WE all expected no whistle. CMY should have also. Ben's small frame makes it easy for the stripes to not "decide" the game.

Tre White, Tre White, why is he familiar to me? So, I look up his stats - 4 teams in 4 years, essentially playing all over the country. And obviously a solid player, essentially averaging double figures his entire college career (9 PPG freshman year at.....USCw). Geesh. I'm all for player rights after an eternity of servitude, but come on man. Truly a different world.

What a thrill today was! So shorthanded, but the team played with a can-do attitude the entire 55 minutes. How great is the conditioning of this squad to play all those minutes at such a high, competitive level. Gurdak's effort in particular was inspiring. In only his 13th collegiate game (and 5th with meaningful minutes), he played like an old pro. Far from the most athletically gifted athlete on the floor, his in-game awareness and smarts were on full display. His help D in particular were impressive, as well as positioning for rebounds on both ends. Hammond was our energizer bunny. His weak side gambling on D bore fruit as did his toughness. But the shot of the game was the wing 3 by Amari in the 3rd extra period. No hesitation, no doubt, just a confident stroke. (Even if we were all thinking NOOOOOOOO!!!!) With a short bench, kudos to the coaches and the players for playing hard the entire time without getting into foul trouble at any point. Hoo tears are still the best tears!!!!

Was the lack of mental toughness. For most of the game (until the spirited press), the team acted like they didn’t want to be there.

If he can shoot close to Saturday with consistency, this is going to be such a fun season.
