I did not like that Seth was fired, good coach, but better in studio job.

I hate the fact that I have liked the last 2 UVA coaches 😉

He's a very good coach, and by all appearances an excellent representative
for any program. Another damn hoo BB coach I don't loathe. Bring back LEITAO!!!!!! :)

Nope, he would have bolted quickly. He is in a good place in the ACC to
propel him further if things fall right. He is not a lifer at UVA

Didn't he grow up in Charlottesville as a Hoo fan?
Seems like that might work to keep him around.

Thought he had a strong pull to Wake. Obviously from his dads stint
there.

Wiki...
"Odom was born in Durham, North Carolina, when his father was the high school basketball coach at the former Durham High School.[2] Odom lived in Charlottesville from third through tenth grade.[8] During this time, he would ride his bike to University Hall to watch UVA teams at practice and was a ball boy for their home games.[8] He recalls being in attendance when Virginia defeated Indiana and advanced to the 1984 Final Four to face Houston's Phi Slama Jama and star Hakeem Olajuwon.[9] After his father was named head coach at Wake Forest, Odom graduated from Richard J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 1992. He went on to graduate from Hampden–Sydney College in 1996, with a degree in economics.[2] His father, Dave, was surprised that his son went into coaching and figured he would "make millions" on Wall Street for his career instead.[10]"

Maybe he stays but he would never have been the VT coach for long and that
was a huge issue.

Think we missed the boat on that one
IIRC Wasn't he a candidate when Mike Young was hired?

No way would I take him over MY. MY totally outcoached him last night. i
wouldn’t trade MY for anyone in the country. There is a reason announcers keep saying MY has one of the the best—if not THE best—offensive minds in college basketball.

Mike Is great
Did not say Odom is better, just that had VT wanted to hire him, that was the time, not now. Give Mike the talent and the sky's the limit. He won the ACC tourney for us with mostly his Wofford guys!

Lol. Yeah VT will just hire uva's coach away from them. Might want to work
on an alternative plan.
