Concur with Chris that we need 1-2 lockdown guards /small forwards. Hopefully we get it right since the experiment with making it fit for Neo did not work. I wish Neo and Pasha good luck in finding a new home

Great post. Another reason I would not have turned down our NIT bid for men
Basketball as it would’ve given others a chance to play some and maybe get an idea of some things for next year but it’s a different world now within IL and the money is involved and players who seem to be running the show which makes me feel for all the coaches and some of the stuff they have to deal with now

Five big credit for the year overall to WBB. Next year
We need a couple of space eaters and a couple of really good shooters. We seemed like we lacked confidence and when your starters have only made 9 buckets through 3 quarters it’s hard to come back. That being said this team never quit and hope we keep the core together

He was at VT games all the time and a great guy and terrific coach
But we would not be able to afford him unless more people gave money plus we have an athletic Director that has no idea what he’s doing right now. Look how they move the ball last night and compare that to our slow motion off offense that we’ve had for years.

Feel bad for Coach. He tried the PG play with Neo at the detriment of the
Team and stated way too long and it led to this fiasco too. Followed bball and coached it for years and this is a bad bad picture

Schutt last 8 games were essentially below poor and he can’t cover guards in ACC at all. Plus major turnovers against Stanford and SMU

Massive choke jobs in those games and not because he hit half court
When you miss free throws and have turnovers like we did we just blew it. But until we decide we are invested in the program we will continue to have more of the same. We better hope Hammond and Hansberry stay or we will be even worse next year. For a team that started 11-2, and finish with 13 losses is very disappointing and CMY stayed with Neo way too long and it cost the team
