Posting History (275)

Agree on everything BUT the injuries were a huge part of the

teams struggles. If you are missing 3 starters for extended stretches and had your prized recruit playing much of the time with an undisclosed injury I’m surprised we did as well as we did? How that 24–25 team won 5 road games was a coaching clinic by our head guy. So blaming CMY for this year’s struggle is, IMO, weak.

Neo will be a better player at his next stop….AND

it will be because we were his training ground. Oh…Of course it will be CMY’s fault….TIC….

Didn’t know that! I still say give CMY some $$

What he did last year with that squad was masterful to win as many road games as he did. This year was a “ who is healthy enough to play” and he still had them in all but one game… Keep Hammond, Gurdak, Johnson and hope Hansberry ( at a lower $ figure) recovers. Would hate to cast Hansberry off but there is no guarantee he will be able to come back thus the lower $ amount. Now go get some dudes with long arms that weigh over 215

Watching the hoos

Gonna need a big game from our bigs and guard the 3

I’d like to give CMY Hoo $ and see what he could do…

How many loses have been coaching, outplayed, better players, bad luck I think he can get it done if he has the resources

The drive and kick out is killing us…

Until we stop the penetration or they start missing…. Trouble ** Edited by Shbolf at 2/14/2026, 2:43:00 PM

So you hire new talented people, train them up, teach them to work together

Over a scant few months… Then you temporarily lose one of the key employees. Changes your developing business plan but you can’t shut down so you juggle the employees teaching new roles, understanding there will be a setback. Now you enter your busy season and another employee, a dependable show up every day type, is lost for an extended period! Reshuffle, retrain, Hope to develop some kind of flow to the business. Now you get an employee back, reshuffle, reestablish flow… Etc… etc… As a business owner, which I was, this is a nightmare of biblical proportions!

A lot of Clemson’s troubles were related to what CMY schemed…AND..

The team EXECUTED the plan… Still some bone headed passes BUT the effort, willingness to accept hard coaching and toughness make this team one of my recent favorites. I only played HS ball but the principles are the same. I wonder if CMY’s critics ever wore a jock except in mandatory gym class where THEY probably could have done without it.

CMY is a really good coach, NOT a magician…

That team from last year won 5 road games That was magic So maybe I’m wrong ** Edited by Shbolf at 2/8/2026, 7:44:52 PM

IMO….Coach, Players, injuries, bad luck…

Coaching… Offensive sets appear to be working Defensive execution is average to poor… Watch coaches reactions on the sidelines when players aren’t executing…They throw their hands up… Players… How many 3 point threats do we have…? BBall IQ? CMY is scratching his head over that Effort is really good Injuries… Missing key parts at a bad time. Name another team in this league that has had two starters missing significant time? Bad luck… Don’t even want to go there I don’t think CMY has forgotten how to coach. I think the evaluation of some talent brought in did not pan out. I would throw more money at some game changers and see what happens…

YEA…All those layups and point blank shots CMY missed when he was on the

floor sure cost us…. I think this team ran into a buzz saw and we were “Out of sorts” as far as routine goes. As far as CMY saying we had two good practices ….What did you expect him to say? I agree we have been “Just good enough” BUT given the talent he could AFFORD TO BUY in previous years (average at best) I think he has done a remarkable job. Think of the injuries to key players this year and in recent years that has forced him to cobble together a team that was very average. Louisville got their star back today and how did that work for them…. UVA lost today at home after blowing a huge lead and they are at fulll strength… This is tough and I hope some of this NIL comes Mike’s way next year…..

I don’t like making excuses BUT this team has been in Louisville since the

wee hours of Thursday morning… Hotel, no real practice, just sitting around for 3 days…. Came out flat and stayed that way….

The Lounge 6 mo ago

Talked to my son last night…2nd year at VMI…

All Keydets are pretty bummed… He said “Dad what did we do wrong?” I told him it was adults behaving badly ….
