End of week and no one has announced...
Probably a decent sign that the ones VT wants to stay are at least listening.
The portal doesnt open officially until after the Final 4. But players are being asked constantly if theyre planning on entering by news outlets and content creators. That no one has been leaked is a good sign.
Doesn't mean everyone VT wants to stay is staying...just more likely to do so if they made it through exit interviews this week and didn't immediately break it to someone (or themselves)
If I were a guessing man...and Im probably as least confident in this season as any previous season (due wild discrepancies in what funds the basketball program actually has)
Leaving:
Lawal
Avdalas
Bedford
Pasha
(One of the redshirts)
Peterkin (no longer playing bball) just an open roster spot
Staying
Hammond
Hansberry
Johnson
Gurdak
Could stay, could be asked to leave depending on funding
Schutt
Jones
Dorn
One of the redshirts

lawal was never a great match. Mutts was a better version. Neo's two man game was forced into the offense.
Hansberry recovery will be an unpredictable issue as you stated cause we need a 3 and 4 to start the season for the portal regardless if most return

If he gets another year of eligibility, where would you place him?

While a decision is made on his final year of eligibility. It isnt likely he will get one though not impossible. Just not something you want to save a significant amount of money for only to be left with nothing when you need to be MORE efficient with your money, not less.
People may not like it, but there could be a similar decision to make wrt Hansberry. But hopefully his track to coming back looks clear enough to keep him around and hes willing to not take what he might be worth healthy on the open market

What the hell happened with Pasha? Was there an attitude issue?

He had an absolutely outstanding conference tournament last year. But he was turnover prone in the regular season. I think he thought he had turned the corner following the conference tourney and was ready to move up, but in reality he needed another year of experience to build on what he had done in March. Unfortunately, he cost himself quite a lot by transferring.

More of a cost vs production evaluation on my part. I sincerely do not know if the staff feels the same, it would just be similar to decisions they've made in the past regarding role and trust in development

Really good experienced starting 4 to build around.
