Posting History (275)

Can we finish?

Rebound… No 2nd chances for the citrus fruits

Noticed how there is a TV TO when we are shooting FTs

We have missed every time from the line after the TO ** Edited by Shbolf at 1/21/2026, 10:40:13 PM

Thanks….HAS is painful and heals slowly….

Tibia break is approximately 6 weeks w/o enhanced stimulation therapy

Sat alone at home watching the game….

Watched the rebounding and defense improve as the second half wound down…. As the last play unfolded, I was pleased to see us guard the inbounds pass like we didn’t do in previous games…. I remember CMY being criticized for not doing that…. When that shot went up and time expired I stood up out of my chair and said OUT LOUD TO AN EMPTY ROOM…. “DON’T GO IN ..!!!” My wife has scheduled me an appointment with a therapist….

Discussing the crying kid…I’m a Boomer and if I had done that?

My Dad would have jerked a knot in my ass… AND…My Mom would never let me hold up a sign much less let me make one! Just more of the wussification of our children….

Young pregame…They’re bigger than us, great offensive rebounding team,

Can really shoot the 3….we’re down 3 players… Probably should just forfeit and get an early start on NYE… UNLESS…we play our O away from the basket drawing their bigs away from the rim… AND Be tougher no stupid fouls Mr Hansberry….We need you for the whole game…. ** Edited by Shbolf at 12/31/2025, 6:20:44 PM

Post game question to MY….

“Coach before the season you expressed concerns about how well this team would shoot the ball. What has changed?” CMY “Seeing the ball go in the damn hole”

Watched ACC PM to hear about VT and Providence

No mention of our win BUT Got some volleyball coverage Please take us SEC

Listened to Coach re: the G-Man….

He’s a “gravity” player….Draws defenders to him and then can see and pass it to his open teammates… Gotta keep this guy

Is it coaching? Several of these coaches being fired were widely acknowledged as good to great X And O guys. Many were touted as excelling in player development. Recruiting, program fixers….etc… I’m beginning to think that the issue at play here might lie elsewhere …. I really don’t think these guys forgot how to ply their trade or have no motivation or lost their motivation…. These guys played in the day of hard-ass coaches and let’s win for “Ole Ivy University “ …. They wanted to win…. Yes there are bad coaches…. BUT…. Heard the expression ‘money corrupts” And I’m not talking about the coaches… Most of these young men come from humble backgrounds albeit financial or family related or both. They’ve been praised, idolized and then are courted by those who only care about how they perform on the field. Their “advisors” are in it for a piece of it too and that’s whom they trust. Mostly, these advisors have no interest in their education or life after football because we all know most aren’t going to the NFL and where that leads. All of a sudden you have a new car, every electronic device imaginable, a hot girlfriend and your name all over the media. Hey, you don’t like your coach? guess what you can move elsewhere with possibly MORE MONEY… Job performance doesn’t matter “ Bench me ….I don’t care ! I’m still getting paid “ Yes, there are exceptions … Many of us played this game at some level and value those lessons in TEAMWORK ACCOUNTABILITY TOUGHNESS PRIDE IN ACCOMPLISHMENT SPORTSMANSHIP I’m sorry but… YOU CANNOT BUY THESE THINGS WITH AN INCREASED NIL BUDGET Let me reference FSU Penn St Florida Texas Money didn’t solve their problems and I’m afraid it won’t solve ours… Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be competitive with other peer universities with regard to $$$s BUT I think the problem may be with the system, NIL, social media, everything involved and its corruption of the ATTITUDES and PRIORITIES of most of these young athletes.

I was at the first game in Cassell…12 years old…

Dad came home from work and told Mom his boss had given him two tickets to opening night at the new basketball arena. Dad was an engineer for the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. Grew up in Fairlawn and later moved to Radford. Mom said it was a school night but Dad said “Aw it’s a once in a lifetime thing” Mom reluctantly relented… What do I remember? Seats weren’t installed so we sat on concrete risers with chalk to indicate your seat number. Popcorn and a Coke were my big takeaways… Don’t remember who Tech played but I do remember we won. I would have those days again…

There is no more dangerous thing than APATHY!!!!

The fans last night booing….Me shaking my head at home….Hokie friends laughing in disbelief at what we are witnessing… I know there are good financial and practical reasons to wait to do the inevitable BUT… It is spreading and this malignancy will do untold damage before it is halted’ GO HOKIES

My son is in his 2nd year at VMI …

He was an OL in HS and blocked for VMIs starting RB…

Not like Flock of Seagulls

OK…Here is what I found..

According to the USDA Egg Markets Overview, wholesale prices for large cartoned shell eggs in New York fell to $4.78 per dozen, reflecting a $2.40 decline compared to earlier weeks. National egg inventory has grown by over 4%, and major retailers are now seeing stabilized supply, unlike earlier in the year when shortages were widespread.
