FC alum who still lives by school…
Our once proud football program has been in the toilet for the last 20 or so years. Mr. Jones got a LOOOOTTTTTT of work on this team and the dude can boom it. This is a great pickup.

I believe classes start next week. 247 podcast reviewed last night.
Kolby C went over the list, but cannot remember most of the names he mentioned. I think most of the transfers and 8-10 HS guys including CA QB and our top LB from PA.

Chris - I agree with you 100%. Spoke to him last year right before…
the season, and I walked away thinking, “uh-oh.” He didn’t come out and say, “don’t expect much,” but those were the implications. This year’s confidence is not typical CMY. I hope this team gels and plays to their potential. I know I haven’t been this high on Hokie hoops in awhile, if ever.

I made a similar comment on the video.
I used to be a huge fan. Now, I don’t root against her, but definitely don’t root for her. I was disappointed when she left with the old coach, but can’t imagine texting her or her family.

If tired of DC talk..which Hokies get drafted in 2025?
And, the round they will be drafted? I am guessing APR, Strong, and Peebles are definitely chosen, and probably Tuten. I was surprised one website has him as the #15 draft eligible RB. I question if there are really 14 better than him. Anybody else potentially getting drafted? Who is most likely to get a chance via Free Agency? Appreciate your thoughts and guesses.

Also, willing to admit I am a NYG fan 😞. Didn’t see a whole lot of Daniels at LSU, but thought MN just made him look good. However, he is definitely rookie of the year, and loved how chill he was on sideline last night.

He was in for 1 play and ran for 5 yds.
Without checking the stats, I was going to say he was in at least once and had a run of about 6 yds (off by a yard, but glad my brain isn’t complete mush).
Thought he should have played more Friday night and all season.

@David Cunningham - how about attd in non-conf games last year?
This team may not have the two stars from last year, but I expect attendance to rise once ACC play begins. For me, the 4800 # doesn’t seem too bad considering the opponents.

Have you all seen the ACCs explanation on call?
First off, you don’t review something that long and it’s indisputable (as I’m sure has been mentioned). Can someone confirm that if a UM player touches the ball while out of bounds (even though controlled by VT), the play is dead? It was all about kissing UMs Axx and trying to get them into the playoffs.

Spoke with a local High School AD a couple of weeks ago about Fuente…
and, I don’t know how he got any recruits. I always thought CF was an Xs and Os guy with not much personality. However, after hearing some stories, his personality was worse than one could imagine. Can’t believe VT hired such a dud.

They slammed this in with seemingly little thought. It’s sort of like a law when Congress proposes a law and says they’ll iron the specifics once it’s enacted. It’s a mess that I can’t see getting any better.

I’ve gotten so much hate from Hokies because I agree with you.
I hope he bombs at KY - which is a good possibility since he doesn’t do well against physical teams. I definitely don’t think he is as great of a coach as he believes he is.
Really ticks me off he said nothing to thank VT and he blatantly lied when questioned about KY.

I thought we were going to be big next year with Silva and CS. Now, it would seem like we are in desperate need for a 5.

KB will be a bust at KY..
Maybe it’s wishful thinking but his coaching style doesn’t mesh with the physicality of the SEC. If it wasn’t for landing 2 once in a life time recruits, he was sucking at VT too. Sorry, I don’t think he’s as brilliant and nice as he loved telling people he was. What a lying charlatan!

I lost a lot of respect for CKB when…
He said he didn’t disclose EK’s injury because of her … come on coach, we all know it was about seeding. I’m no doctor, but even I knew it was an ACL. Then, to say he knew nothing about talks with KU was such a joke. I really hope he stays but don’t hold out much hope. The glory days of VT women’s basketball, are probably over for the foreseeable future.

Apparel and GOR questions…
Someone below posted about changing to UA but I don’t see any announcements. Which makes me wonder where current deal stands. Also, anyone have a basic explanation of how and why we got so screwed by Nike?
Regarding GOR - did FSU and Clemson have a gun to their heads when they signed the GOR? From someone who is not in the law profession, I say, you sign it, you’re stuck with it. Unfortunately, the legal system in this country is so screwed up, it is just going to come down to who has the best lawyers. FSU and Clemson fans feel like they are going to win - do they have a case?

Someone posted a top 10 players list at beginning of season w/ no Liz..
on YouTube. However, he did include Reese, who I said is just a tall bully with not much for basketball skills. Most didn’t agree wit the Reese assessment and thought Liz was soft and not very good.
