Tomorrow is last day in Palm Springs before heading back to east coast for
the summer. My time here has wildly exceeded my expectations. Had a few “ interruptions” with unexpected trips due to 2 deaths in family and two new grandsons. But grand times with relatives and friends here. Improved golf prowess considerably but still a long way to go. Explored more of SoCal. Lots of working out and bike riding. Dropped some weight, etc.
squeezing one more round of golf in in the am, then packing car and closing up house for early getaway Tuesday morning. Road trip to get wife’s car and doggies home! I’ll send a post card!

You can thank me later. Just turned game on @4-2 in time to witness a
Tsunami of scoring! Wowzaa! I’m sure they were awaiting my appearance. Even got to see a record be broken. These ladies are in the books!

Syracuse last batter had lead foot almost on home plate when pitch came in.
Is that legal to be outside batters box?

She started on Tandy’s teaching at radio shack. Then taught at high school
Level. Don’t think she’d like differentials!

Yep on the suit. I don’t think I had store bought clothes until I started
School. And she dyed that suit about 5 different colors for different occasions. RIT dye.

I laughed when reading this. Ditto for my Mom. I found the hospital bill
From when I was born in the Bluefield Sanatarium. Daily hospital bill for mom was $10.00. Nursery care for me was $3.50 daily.
Mom’s first teaching contract was for $7,500 annually with a masters degree. Dad was principal at a large high school and was paid $13,500 annually. My sis had a major salivary gland tumor removed, a delicate surgery because of facial nerves….$350. Boxes and boxes of family pics and memorabilia for generations.

MomofDonHo passed away Saturday just a couple weeks shy of 97. I am in the
Burg cleaning out the things she collected for those 97 years. She was an award winning seamstress and fashion designer, had a Masters in Art History and taught art and sold paintings for years winning many awards in art shows, decided to use her right brain and taught computer programming to end her career, and was a fearless Mom who always had my back. In retirement she and my Dad built their own beautiful home from the ground up.
In the fashion designer category she designed and made her wedding dress and entered a suit she designed in a vogue competition and won a high award. They made a pattern of her suit for which she collected royalties for years. Artistically she worked and taught many media and did pen and ink drawings that looked like photographs. But her love was watercolors and she sold hundreds of paintings, notecards, etc. After a teaching hiatus she determined that she could bump her retirement numbers up by teaching a few more year so she pivoted and taught computer programming.
Godspeed Mom! Thanks for being amazing!

Wifey was National Contract Sales person for Kingstown Mattresses. She
Travelled the country to high end resorts/motels to sell mattresses and allow resorts to sell branded mattresses direct. She was good at her job and looked good doing it!🤪.
Sold mattresses to the Biltmore and Grove Park Inn in Asheville. Old building at Grove park had one elevator behind the huge fireplace for access with no way to get a king size mattress up. She brought in a crane and had skylights removed. Delivered a tractor trailer load of mattresses down through the skylights and removed the old ones. Cha- Ching!

I love the look on her face and her walk to back of circle when she knows
she threw a good pitch. I like even better her starting to walk to dugout on strike three before ump even calls the pitch. Seems to force the ump to call it a strike or be embarrassed!

Peddled about 15 miles on the CVLink yesterday and then decided to detour
To Home Depot and then stop at Starbucks. Road from the link to HD is treacherous with heavy traffic coming over a bridge with poor visibility. So I stayed on a dirt path off the highway for the first time.
Came out of Starbucks and rear tire was flat. Check out the cactus spines/burs/whatever I pulled out of tire! Won’t go off-road again!

“I put it down on bare ground”. There’s 90% of the problem. Ground is
Probably hard as a rock and if dogs are regular there the pH is assuredly screwy. If the seed decided to germinate how is the root supposed to bore its way into the ground? Some seed can handle that like winter rye but even that most likely won’t make it through the summer.
If you don’t see anything for another week I’d start with fresh seed, break up at least a couple of inches of depth with a shovel, re- seed and rake in. Then water! You can thank me later. Oh, and keep the dogs off of it till established. And overseed this fall when it’s the best time to plant grass.

Her backing into a Tesla charger is an adventure. And she has a camera that
Has lines that shows her exactly what to do.

Oh, she’ll drive 6 blocks out of her way to find a place she can pull into
as opposed to parallel parking. And still scrapes the curb.

Uh, I can still drill a hole in your head and
Drop an implant in. Let me see if a can find one like they used back in the 60s. We knew they would fail but we’re betting the patient would fail before the implant🤣

Why are wimmins physically incapable of getting into a parking space
Between the lines and straight?? Sitting now in PSP cell phone lot picking up wifey’s friend and lady pulls into row ahead of me. Both right tires outside completely of her line and at least 15 degrees out of whack. And we wonder why our car doors get whacked. My wife is same and the hub caps on her Tesla are totally scraped up from hitting curbs. And she won’t even attempt to parallel park. Sigh…

Are you doing the half marathon in Yosemite in May? My wife and her son
Are doing the half marathon series in the National Parks. Joshua Tree in Nov ( at night through the desert!) and Zion in March. 77 yrs old and doing half marathons! She’s not a speed burner but she’s out there finishing.
Don’t tell her I’m posting a pic. She took a tumble and bumped her chin.
