Why are wimmins physically incapable of getting into a parking space
Between the lines and straight?? Sitting now in PSP cell phone lot picking up wifey’s friend and lady pulls into row ahead of me. Both right tires outside completely of her line and at least 15 degrees out of whack. And we wonder why our car doors get whacked. My wife is same and the hub caps on her Tesla are totally scraped up from hitting curbs. And she won’t even attempt to parallel park. Sigh…

It could be because men drive all the time when a couple goes out together.
You can lose your edge at anything without practice.

Plus you'rewaiting there a few minutes in their first, second and third...
tries. I pull in, boom, done plus if you have groceries you just pop the trunk and put them there.and your car will warn you if another car/person is coming. when you're backing out. ** Edited by `lag at 4/12/2026, 11:30:06 AM

She has summoned it in a parking lot but won’t try the parking deal

I see people backing into spaces when the parking lot is near empty
That's all I got

That’s the new trendy thing to do.

It's safer...
But when the parking lot is empty, just pull through.

Wrong. Especially with todays back up cameras. And it’s much more rude to
those you block while spend hours getting in just right. If you back out to leave, there’s no adjusting to get lined up. You back up and leave.

Yet backing up is where 80% of non-roadway accidents occur...
Better visibility pulling out.

Her backing into a Tesla charger is an adventure. And she has a camera that
Has lines that shows her exactly what to do. Scary

Buy her a car with an automatic parking system.
Then teach her how to engage it.

I thought all Teslas had that feature.

You're going to need to activate FSD
or at least encourage her to use the Auto Park feature. It's a wheel and patience saver :-)

My dad taught me to turn my head & torso around so I could drive the car
backwards out of a parking spot- no mirrors. He said having my eyes looking in the direction of travel minimized blindspots. That skill comes in really handy when launching my boat from its trailer when backing into the water.

I use my mirrors when backing into my driveway.
Once you get the handle on that, it becomes second nature for obstacles on the sides. That doesn't help judge the distance behind you...that's where backup cameras come into play...or you can park by "feel."

I like the "play it by ear" approach when backing in the garage.

I tried using a backup camera when launching my boat, but because a trailer
moves in the opposite direction, it was just easier for me to just turn around. BUT the easiest thing I did was to rent a boat-slip for the summer and avoid using the ramps.

Say the guy who retired in 2025 from a profession...
...that still used procedures perfected in 1925. Stay in your lane, er, um, space... bro

Uh, I can still drill a hole in your head and
Drop an implant in. Let me see if a can find one like they used back in the 60s. We knew they would fail but we’re betting the patient would fail before the implant🤣

Try to talk her into parking as far away from the store/restaurant as...
...possible so you guys can get extra steps in every day. Yeah, that's not going to work...lol

Oh, she’ll drive 6 blocks out of her way to find a place she can pull into
as opposed to parallel parking. And still scrapes the curb.

I see people at the gym drive a few laps around the parking lot IOT find...
...a parking spot a few feet closer to the gym door. (And these aren't people with handicap placards on their car.)
