@JoesterVT aeration grass seeding
Here is mine from 2 weeks ago. Not a high traffic area, but where I spilled fertilizer last fall and it burned the grass.
First time I’ve tried to seed in the spring. Watered every 3 days.
We shall see.

Pretty much exactly the way I've done in the past and I've never NOT had it germinate....

from blowing away, or being eaten by birds, and aiding with germination after your soil prep. Also, be sure to water the area until the grass begins to sprout. Oh, and don't use any pre-emergent, such as crab grass or weed control, before all this.

Late august before over seeding. Yard soil not great. Mostly red clay.
