It struck me that at halftime of one of the VT/Wake games, Steve and Mike..
were walking to the locker rooms together and chatting as they went. Clearly good friends. I think that is a very rare thing, even among coaches that are friendly.

I believe JJ had announced he was going to Clemson as an assistant....
when Weaver fired Seth. Then Weaver offered JJ the job. JJ seems like a good guy, hope Ferrum is a good fit for him.
You are 100% correct with that last sentence. Those were painful times, the Young or Greenburg years are much easier to watch.

I was thinking the same, Jaydon's kind of a unicorn. He could definitely
start somewhere. And probably make more doing so. But if he's happy then good for him, he'll have good college memories. I saw an interview this past year where he talked about the VT upperclassmen helping him along when he was a freshman, so he was trying to do the same at UNC.

CMY showed up at Frazier's house in Morgantown last year the morning....
Frazier was interviewing for the WVU head job. Young asked Frazier to come to Blacksburg if he didn't get the WVU gig. That's how Frazier, and Hansberry, ended up at VT this year.

I couldn't tell you who they played in the NIT for the past 3 years.
And I couldn't tell you how far they advanced, other than they didn't win it all.
And I'm an avid fan, and was in NYC when they won it in '95. NIT just does not matter anymore, I couldn't care less if they play or don't.

This has really been missing this year. At times I'll watch the ball get
passed among 3-4 players, none of which that should really be shooting a 3, particularly a contested one.

When they got up big it's like they were trying to be the Globetrotters.
Needless behind the back, etc, trying to be showtime. Of course if those shots had fallen I wouldn't be complaining. Glad to see a win against BC.

He lived in Troutdale over in Grayson County. I think he only worked there for a few months. Beautiful area.

I do think lack of shooting threats is a big part of the issues this yr.
As I was watching Tobi, Amani, and Neo pass the ball back and forth to each other on Saturday I was thinking State wasn't afraid of any of them shooting the ball. Outside of Bedford, Schutt and sometimes Hammond we just don't have squat on the outside. We needed another shooter or two. Would have been great if Providence Neo had stuck around.

I really hope Tobi is at full strength to matchup against Wilson in Feb.
We watched this game, about halfway through the second half Hubert put in the bench. (Jayden Young, etc). But with two minutes left he cleared those guys and put in the far bench.
