Or is there a potential to bump up to 149/157?
I'm getting slightly ahead asking all this before the postseason even happens, but I would love any insights on who will slot where next year

We have a national champion and a (most definitely future national champion), so they can and will pick whatever weight class they want.

But they also are obviously planning ahead and coordinating it. They aren't both thinking that they will be 149. My question is if they are set on specific weights, or if they are still deciding based on what will give us the best lineup.
I know everybody thinks 149 is best for Caleb, and I agree, but I don't think he's afraid of the competition at 157, and he doesn't redshirt if the team goals aren't a big motivator for him.

We didn't RS Caleb to have him wrestle off and potentially lose and have to go at a weight he's not prepared for. We also aren't bringing Bo in to sit. I think 141/149 is the plan but could be 149/157.

difference with Nininger having to jump two weight classes to open a spot for Campbell/Gorman. No matter what we end up with 165 as a likely NQ but probably not a threat to score points at nationals (unless Burton sticks at 165)

Don't count out Ben Weader at 165. His results have been mixed during his tournaments this year but he's been impressive in a few matches.

Rumor is Bullock still has a year of eligibility. I like Sergio but not sure if he has the frame to bump up to 184.

The ways in which stalling is handled is so out of whack right now, IMO.
Our guy Henson initiated 100% of the action in the final vs. Lovett and he gets hit with a stall call while Lovett, who had zero offense the entire match, never does. The defined rules are missing the forest for the trees, IMO.
I would love to know Robie's opinion on this.

1. What were his thoughts on Caleb's performance at Zagreb?
2. From my limited perspective, Caleb seems to have improved significantly even in the past few months since the Farrell tournament. What are the primary reasons for Caleb's freestyle success?
3. What is Caleb's remaining freestyle schedule and when will he start to transition back to folk?
4. Is he still expected to wrestle at 149 next season?

What does the Virginia Tech coaching staff do that works so well at getting wrestlers to peak in March?
Is there a concerted effort to encourage wrestlers to be more offensive or is coaching more about optimizing their style and where they are comfortable?
