Some of what I’ve heard
VT is looking to take a mid season transfer at 174 or 184. Bullock and Desiante have been underwhelming
We are in the driver’s seat for Knox. He would be able to learn and mature under Eddie for a year and that would probably work out of well
Miller is working his way back now. Knocking off the injury rust and will hit some tournaments to do so
Gage Wright should be good to go for the second semester

This is all really good news. Hope Gage is ready to steal a starting spot! As far as Knox goes, I hope we get him. He obviously made a very dumb mistake a year ago, but I'm not ready to say he never deserves another chance. I don't know about the current team, but the guys on Dresser's teams aren't exactly choir boys either. I'm not saying we shouldn't have standards on ethics, but I think we can provide a good environment for him to mature, and that he can win a lot of matches for us.

I'm really going to have to put my faith in Robie & the staff regarding the Knox situation. They've earned my trust, and he'll be surrounded by good people so I'll be cautiously excited on that. It would certainly set us up to be extremely talented for a long time - like him or not he's better than deluca, desmond, or anybody in that age range of lightweights so he could definitely be a title contender at some point. I like the fact that we're putting our foot on the gas pedal. Great news for Gage.
Thanks for sharing - and Merry Christmas

Any hints on possible transfers? That’s a unique situation and wondering who that might be. Assuming it’s a vet stuck behind a stud freshman or sophomore with minimal likelihood of starting without transferring? Hoping Gage is back and competing for whichever slot works best for him.

that could be very successful here. No idea if they have interest, or how recruiting a midseason transfer even works

He just didn’t take things seriously and regressed because of it

That was completely a result of TJ's shortcomings and nothing else.

Pretty vocal with his negative opinions on the staff and I don’t think they would provide an objective opinion if the Arnolds were to ask. Don’t think it really matters because Gabe is supposed to be at Soldier Salute and I believe that should end all talk of him transferring this year.

Others mentioned a connection between the Stewart and Arnold family.
Stewart’s father was a frequent poster and quite honestly a drama queen, so it’s hard to tell if he’d try to negatively influence any recruit’s impression of VT

Not sure how much that’d negatively influence a GA decision to come to VT if it’s looked at objectively by GA. Now that some time has passed, I’d say if there’s mutual interest, getting a shot to start at VT would be hard to pass on for GA.

AJ has 84 locked down for the hawks and I don’t think he can shrink down or bump up to beat out either starter at 74 or 97.

I think I read somewhere that you can’t wrestle “attached” for 2 schools in the same season. Almost positive Gabe wrestled in a dual for Iowa this season.

Desiante after they transferred here to finish out their careers, but hope they are understanding that you've got to keep competing and getting better. But, a late transfer at this juncture would be quite surprising.
Love hearing Gage Wright has worked his way back to eligibility and can hopefully compete for one of those spots too.
Hopefully Knox is matured and humbled by this experience and comes in hungry and willing to work and be a good teammate. If so, let's embrace the rehabilitation and be thankful Robie and Frayer and group will be helping shape his character.
Merry Christmas!
