Sounds like Orine will bump to 141 for NC State
With Jack redshirting. Koy Buesgens will take 149 with Arrington redshirting as he grows into 157 after Scott graduates. I think this makes us the ACC favorites. Instead of competitive matches from 133 to 149, we should be pretty decent favorites at 133 and 149, with a competitive match at 141. I'm excited to see the Latona-Orine rivalry continue up a weight.

What is NC State's projected lineup?
125 - Camacho 133 - Cox 141 - Orine 149 - Busguens 157 - Scott 165 - Fields 174 - Singleton 184 - Fishback 197 - Knop HWT - Trumble Will Camacho move to 133? Read rumors about him moving up. I'm assuming Trumble can't cut to 197. Trephan is a talented backup

Probably pretty close. Pack Guy that posts here can probs answer, but
Look for: 133 - Robinson 197 - Horne

Well since you asked ...
What is NC State's projected lineup? 125 - Camacho 133 - Either Vincent Robinson or the younger Orine 141 - Older Orine 149 - Busguens 157 - Scott 165 - Fields 174 - Singleton 184 - Fishback 197 - Knop. The option is Chase Horne. He's dropped a ton of weight since coming in as a HWT. This will probably be the most interesting match to watch at our wrestle-offs this weekend. HWT - Trumble Assuming the above, I think our dual will (again) be the highlight of the conference season.

Thanks. Looks like another nailbiter for the NCAA's most existing dual...
over the past five years.

How old is Camacho? He seems to have been at NCSU forever.

Any thoughts on how the dual goes?
Obviously a lot can change, but I peg us as the early favorite with yall's changes at the lower weights.

If I were to guess today
125: Camacho Decision 3-0 133: Va Tech Decision 3-3 141: Orine Decision 6-3 149: Henson Decision 6-6 (could be bonus. Koy is really good, but Arrington out muscled him at the US Open over the summer) 157: Ed decision 9-6 165: Probably the toughest to guess. But, I'll go with the most recent result. VT by decision. 9-9 174: This is the match I'm most looking forward to. I'll go with a homer pick, Matty. 12-9. 184: TJ had Dylan's number last year. 12-12 197: VT 12-15 285: Trumble has gotten and has been really impressive. 15-15 So as usual, it'll come down to bonus points with VT having the edge because of 149.

I've got us as a pretty decent favorite at 174
Otherwise my picks are the same. Can't pick against the AA, but that's definitely one that could change depending on how Singleton develops. Really wanted him as a recruit. I also think yall have a great chance at 165. On our end, I think our AAs at 125 and 141 obviously have a shot, but I want to see a return to form before I can pick them. Also think our young guys at 157 and 285 have a chance to be competitive.

WrestleStat has Jacob Cox at 133, is that an option as well?

I doubt it.
Vincent Robinson and Orine were both Top 100 guys. The initial starter should get settled at the wrestle-offs this weekend.

Orine was stronger than Sam last year. Hope the weight adjustment flips it

I'm going to respectfully disagree with this comment. I don't think there
is a difference at all in strength. Sam's current roadblock with Orine, imho, is that he needs to work to finish his shots against KO immediately. KO is as flexible as the come and one of the best defensive wrestlers out there. Sam is notorious for the single leg and looks to secure the leg before finishing the shot using his leverage. Against most opponents, this works fine for SL as his size over most 33 pounders allowed him great leverage to put his opponent off balance and bring him to the mat for the takedown. but Orine has great flexibility and balance so "pausing" after the shot allows him to set up defensively. Sam can get to Kai's legs, but he has to be aggressive in finishing to keep Kai off balance. And Sam needs to stay disciplined for the entire 7 minutes. I think he gets ahead of himself mentally sometimes over extends himself ... eventually costing points.

Regardless it's the same result
I agree Sam does pause to secure the leg, this is an issue against any good defensive wrestler. If this allows Orine to get into a balanced position that gives him more strength to defend the shot. We should also remember Sam is 2-3 against Orine it's been competitive over two years.

Have to say, in my opinion, Latona has been at a strength
disadvantage in many bouts during his career. I believe an example of this is that he struggles a lot to return guys to the mat despite his height advantage.

Definitely more exciting if Sam can actually win it a time or two lol
I think the bump to 141 will be similar to when he initially bumped to 133 and that he'll look much better this year.
