What’s with ESPN?
I started watching the game at 3 PM, not realizing the game started early. ESPN gave me the option of watching live or from the beginning. I wanted to see the whole game so I chose from the beginning. At the top of the fourth, the screen says “This game has concluded” and the broadcast stops. It would not continue and show the rest of the game. That stinks! What the heck are they doing?

Especially during commercials. I will have to find the game and click again. Never on ACCN which is still streaming for me. Nothing else for that matter. Sometimes it will just cycle through back into the game doing nothing. Most games no problem. But 1 out of 5 this will happen. Happened 3 times today. All at commercials.

What's with the "COMMERCIAL BREAK" screen AFTER the commercial has ended?

That's pretty Mickey Mouse, to have the stream die when the game concludes.

I ended up finding the replay at the bottom of the page. I fast forwarded to where I left off and finished the game. Unfortunately, I already knew the final score. Thanks for the insight.

I think what happens is that you are watching the live broadcast from the beginning. As soon as it ends, that 'broadcast' stopped. So you would have to go and start up the "replay" broadcast.
At least that's what I think happens.

Then you have to wait for it to show up in the On Demand list, which can take several minutes - maybe even an hour. Good luck fast forwarding to where you left off - sometimes that results in a freeze when it forces a commercial break that you can’t fast forward through, even though there is no actual advertiser to fill the space.
All that said, the worst part of the ESPN app is having to re-login every other time I use it, re- declare my TV provider, enter a code. I can’t imagine that anyone casually uses the app to watch other games - you have to be a true fan and be willing to suffer for your team to make it work. It’s so dysfunctional that it feels like I’m hacking free content rather than streaming a paid service.
