If anyone thinks that the media
doesn’t have the power to shape minds and viewpoints, please read this Auburn write up of the “tie” game and decide for yourself.

The mythical 7th inning never happened! You must be imagining things.
Come on, man. Better get checked.

Not the MSM, but media nonetheless. You and I are now participating in a type of media.

Yes it is and it conveniently left out certain facts

Would you expect them to write “VT was kicking our ass so we found a way to get a tie instead.”? 😉
Tech can write their own write up can’t they?

just reading that write-up, no one would know that VT was up 4 and still batting with 2 on and no out in the T7 ( and that the Auburn coach took the coward way out of a loss).

Or at least, wouldn’t expect them to be unbiased.

I bet that Will, Chris, David, Andy, etc. would have mentioned those facts in their reporting of the game. Of course, no one expects that from Auburn and the SEC.

It’s independent whereas HokieSports (and likewise the Auburn site) is directly tied to and run by the respective athletic department. This example is akin to a company putting out their own press release on their own website and leaving out incriminating facts. If anyone believes that’s gospel, that’s on them. But bias is expected. It’s certainly not some condemnation about the media as a whole (and believe me, I’m not one to defend the media).

If we happen to draw Auburn in a tourny game we should never pull the starters. RUTS as much as possible.

That goes especially for a contest of Cow pie tossing. Auburn is a pro at tossing bull crap.

If Belmont is winning mid-7th, the sprinklers will come on.
Field unplayable.

Auburn did I guarantee you that if the situation had been reversed we absolutely would have resumed.

And I don't mean that we need to run up the score on them. But we do need to thump them badly.

And it would be nice to see Belmont pull off an upset as well.

Yep, i guess i am a baby as far as you're concerned. Age is just a number. My wife tells everyone that I'm her 12 year-old husband. I get it honestly. My mom is 88 and thinks she's 16. Yep, Class of '84. Hard to believe it'll be 40 years this summer since graduation.
