Agree entirely. They're the bright light in February's winter bleakness.
I'll get SAD once the season ends, whether it's tomorrow, next week, or in June. Love this team. True student athletes, too!

Two names from my childhood that I haven't heard or even thought about in
ages! Nice to know that I'm not the only old guy out here.
Remember watching Bingo on channel 7 back in the 60s? Mom would give me a calendar and a box of buttons so I could play along. (Obviously, I had no chance of getting any numbers higher than N31, but I was five, so...)

I wore that radio out from 75 through 81. Risked waking up my parents when
they'd be on the west coast. A few years back while driving home, I found a YouTube video from May 21, 1975 (I think), and listened to it while driving up I-81. So cool to hear Marty and Joe. And the Reds won, too! Thank goodness for Bluetooth and smart phones.

I hear ya. I took my required public speaking class at VT the fall of '81.
The topic of my persuasive speech was no split season playoffs in baseball.

UPDATE: 2024 revenue was $302 million and trending downward. So much for that idea. He'll be saving his aluminum cans soon - just like me

Mario Soto. What could have been if he were just a few years older back
in '75 and '76. Cincinnati would have won over 110 games each regular season. And Mario would have won a Cy Young award.
