UVA are in the best positions really - Good schools with relatively good to great athletics, good size with nice alumni bases.

one school can't make a move that hurts the other is a good move at least in the short term. I think both schools would add value to either P2 conference. OTOH, could you imagine if VT had a B1G invite, and UVa didn't have an invite from either, and we were both forced to go to the Big XII? Turrible. Since ESPN owns the GOR would they financially benefit from trying to break up the league. They already have financial issues. If they could partner with another network and split up the ACC into pieces advantageous to them to get what they want to the SEC and another batch to the B1G and/or B12, would they do it. Just think of the back room deals that would go on to get that done.
