Why not target SMU, Utah and Colorado?
At this point geography is out the window. ** Edited by goldendomer at 7/13/2022, 10:06:32 AM

Gotta be valuable, not just a name
Set aside any other confusing factors like Grant of rights, geography, or scheduling. A team must be as valuable as the average member of the conference just to be a net even addition. Numbers don't add value, value adds value.

Those schools don't really move the needle.
And are any of those schools really any better than adding West Virginia, which also makes geographic sense? If we are going to be adding schools that far west, might as well just add Pac-12 schools.

WVU only moves needles for VT fans in SW VA. Otherwise, zip.

Yeah, if you're going to throw geography out the window,
shoot for the biggest and best out there...go get Oregon, Washington, Stanford

Geography is out the window if
you bring in ludicrous money to support the resultant travel. USC/UCLA to the B1G doesn't mean it's smart for just any conference to add anyone of any geography.

That'll excite the TV networks!

It is for the B1X
I think the SEC will be smart, and concentrate on the southeast. Texas to the Atlantic, and not higher than Kentucky. The B1X will need a lot more cash just for their travel budget.
