The "bad" result argument seems to be one

that many make. It has been cited as to why the USC series was discontinued, but that is a double edged sword for those not considered blue bloods. A high profile win could be enough to get them in, and is well worth the risk. USC can afford to be picky, most schools can not. That theory goes to the wayside if a team schedules an easy game towards the end of the season like the SEC has done since the beginning of time. In the ACC with the uneven distribution system, every single school should be compelled to schedule the best OOC matchups as possible. They too will have to choose between the risk of a loss weighted against a game not many will watch. While the B12 doesn't have uneven distributions tied to viewership, they do have a new contract to negotiate in a few years. They too need to weigh the "auto" win compared to the high profile loss of playing a school like a ND later in the season. I just do not see the ACC having the luxury of not keeping ND contests later in the season, whether their Olympics are in the conference or not. Of course they would accommodate those games. You can argue differently, but the ACC and B12 schools would be lined up to schedule those games.
