Are those entities truly independent from the school though? I know the
paperwork may paint one picture. However, the implied spirit may paint a completely different picture. For example, if Hokie Venture is truly independent from VT, then technically there should be nothing to stop Hokie Venture from pulling a Baltimore Colt and relocating to London (Eng). However, if VT has a say, maybe even the final say, in the matter, then it would suggest Hokie Venture isn't as independent as they try to make it.
