Because to them the playoffs are a rare opportunity and not a realistic annual consideration. But what is real is the possibility of the P2 schools no longer scheduling the G5 schools. This would result in less tv exposure, less direct payments to play, and less revenue from fans when the P2 games are played at the G5 schools. I have little doubt that the P2 has floated this threat to keep the G5 quiet and agreeable when the playoffs are discussed. So the CUSA should not agree to the P2 proposals, but they might have bigger concern$ to worry about.
