You're spot on.
Even 3 AQ spots to the SEC and Big 10's 4 would be an extremely stupid, short sighted concession to make. The message is still loud, clear, and exactly same: your conference is not as good as these other conferences.
I don't care if you're the commissioner of CUSA; anyone that would EVER agree to do AQs, but take less spots than other conferences in a playoff has a pea brain and should be out of a job immediately.
