Arkansas doesn't have that history of bouncing around trying to find a good home for the program. The Hogs could have been somewhat in that position bordering the Big-8 back then as much as the SEC. Arkansas could have went to the Big-8 as easily as the SEC. The Northwest corner of Arkansas is more mid west mentality than SEC southern south. That area of the state always voted Republican even 50 & 60 years ago. Long before the Republican Party became a southern thing. The South had voted Democratic previous to that recent change since the Civil War. Frank Broyles had SEC roots but he was a visionary in college football. Broyles predicted a lot of this turmoil many decades ago. I just do not respond well to picky analysis of a word chosen while I am trying to convey something I read from multiple sources on the internet concerning expansion. I would not post anything I feel is false here. I just see it as condescending rubbish that is just opposed to the overall message of my post. I have not been on any FSU board encouraging them to leave the ACC. I would not ever want to be on those FSU boards after an experience of about a decade ago.
