The Chicago Bears are moving to Indiana.
Specifically...Hammond Indiana...which is a 40-minute drive from downtown Chicago.

putting up 2 billion in the deal. I hope those elected people can do the math, but you know it is all projections and basically a leap of faith that this will net out well. And the new stadium looks like it is going to still be very close to Chicago, just maybe 2 miles inside Indiana, lol. Whatever could the reason be for inching over that line, as far as the Bears are concerned?
Prediction: Soldier Field will be torn down, replaced with a 6 billion dollar taxpayer funded stadium, and the Bears will be lured back with tax breaks equal to those in Indiana - all within 10 years. Then, Indiana will be granted an expansion franchise. How 'bout those Hammond Hams!

I mean come on. Give the Commies credit, at least they're coming back to DC (albeit with a heavy govt subsidy).
A complete joke that public money is used on this kind of thing. Build something useful like a horseracing track with a casino/*****house.
