I was never a big Hulkamania guy...
But I do remember renting the VHS of Wrestlemania 3 when I was about seven and being blown away by the spectacle.
Hollywood Hogan...that was my dude, though. 1996-98, when it was peak "Hollywood" and the NWO, made for some fantastic Monday nights.
And the pop he got on Raw the night after WM18 was insane. Maybe his best entrance ever.
But that guy made wrestling the spectacle that it is today. No doubt about it. RIP.

BTW, A LOT of wrestlers took from Graham because they idolized him. It wasn’t disrespect and Hogan has admitted as much.

I was at his wedding when he married Linda. She was a next door neighbor back then. I have several pics of him with my daughter and with my grandson. Seems like an eternity since then.

Blackjack in particular, came most generously over to autograph a gold-n-black covered Roanoke program of a very young kid that looked a bit like, me. Surprisingly nice... (first time I ever broke though and actually socially asked for something on my very own too... and (somehow) he rewarded it and made it work. Setting a lifelong tone... "ask"... kan't hurt... occasionally... might even surprise... help).

When I think of Clearwater Beach I think of Hulk Hogan, Tom Cruise, and John Travolta. They all spend time in the area but Hulk was there 100% of the time while the others are just there partially.
