Thinking about a vacation outside of the country?
You may need to save a little more for some destinations.
Hey, let's get the entire Lounge to vacation in Laos! :)

I would go there in a heartbeat. Only thing that will throw you off is the amount of horse meat they eat.
Rwanda, all joking aside, is probably the safest country in Africa these days. The govt in place has Kigali looking clean. Ghana is great with history and convenience (direct flights from Dulles).
Lastly, hard to get to, but Georgia is beautiful. Tblisi is set in time and I mean that as a postive. If you love nature and wine, a great place to go.

I was thinking I would certainly consider Cuba and Nepal. It is great to learn things one would not expect about the world. From your message, I would now consider Kazakhstan and Ghana.
From the expensive list, I always hold Maldives as a dream destination, but whenever I see deals there, I then wonder how much it is gonna cost just to get there.

you are essentially paying for guaranteed great weather. If you are seeing deals, you are rolling the dice as it is a good chance it will rain.
As for Kazakhstan, the one thing I liked was that it was a great mix of people. I always kind of joke it is the Star Wars cantina, with Russians, Arabs, Iranians, etc all around.
And it still has some of the old Soviet feel with buildings and what not.
If you want a break down on Ghana, I will always talk about that.

I watch a fair amount of Premier League games. Isn't "Visit Rwanda"
frequently on the sideline advertisements for at least 1 of those teams?
