In case you missed it. ESPN ranked this Virginia Tech Miami game a classic
Logan Thomas was sensational. David Wilson was great. And Alonzo Tweedy tackled like Alonzo Tweedy. 2011 and Lane Stadium was rocking! Mike Patrick called it one of the best games he'd ever seen. This should be required viewing for all players, staff and any who need to see what home-field advantage looks like. Hope there are some more of these in our near future. It's game 74 if I screwed up the link.

2003 game was loudest game I've seen in Lane.

How'd you like to be the kid that got...
...stiffarmed by Beamer at the end? 🤣 I wonder what he's up to these days...he's got to be ~25 now. Maybe he's even here on this board. Poor guy got the shove from Coach and then immediately got de-cleated by the cop, all on national TV.

I never noticed that. Frank pushed him out of the way and then the cop
yanked the kid away and to the ground to get him away from the handshake. You have to wonder if there is another camera angle of it going down.

Our 2000 NC/Sugar game vs F$U ranks at No. 9 on that list as well

I thought the “Give it to me Roscoe” UM game was better. And that the tOSU
VT game in Columbus should have been on the list

I was at the give it to me Roscoe game - best gameday atmosphere
Ever - any stadium - any game Hope to hear Lane like that soon

That was Meangelo’s interception, wasn’t it?

He simply took the ball and scores
Eric Green had a pick six - the place erupted

Loudest I've ever heard Lane. DHall took the ball from him
Logans TD run against UM in 2011 and those final 3 defensive plays were loud also. Other than Hall taking it from R.Parish in 2003, the blocked punt on Miami in the 4th in 2001 at home where we came back and about beat them was deafening loud regarding a single moment in time..

The blocked punt by Eric Green was the loudest I have heard any stadium
And I was at the game when Hall took the ball from Parrish

The 2001 punt block and TD return against Miami is still my favorite...
...Lane Stadium memory, despite the gut-wrenching loss that followed. And yes, that place erupted. I definitely lost my mind in that moment.

Video makes me wonder... Are there any Fuller grandsons yet?
... I used to know Alonzo Tweedy's dad during this era. I never understood what 'Zo had done to get stuck in Bud's doghouse. Kid never played. But boy, did he ever come through on that last down. I wasn't at the game. I'll always remember where I was though. My HS reunion. I spent the first half of the reunion at the bar watching the game until it was over. And only then would I go make my speech. LOL The names on the roster... It's been a long while since we had that kind of talent on the field. DeChristopher. Wilson. Fuller. etc etc Here's to hoping for 2026 and on~! Go Hokies.

I was at that game - one of the most incredible things I ever saw
The whole game was insanely loud, but when Sandman came on before that last play ... unreal. I drove up from Florida with a good friend who was a huge Miami fan and even he had to admit that environment was unbelievable. Hard to believe it's been 15 years.
