He is a good returner, but was just "okay" as a receiver IMO.
I'm not sure we really have anyone on the roster that is a must have this season besides the remaining O linemen.

i liked quote from dwight Vick
No big issues for folks leaving. Lets be blunt, these are players from a 1-3 team and many from losing last year. If its performance business, these players collectively, and if they want to leave with that resume great...

Not concerned. He keeps getting hyped due to 1-2 punt returns long ago
Long ago in relative terms. Either he isn't used as a deep, speed threat at WR or isn't going to be one. But every time he is mentioned on tv or elsewhere, it is about something done 2+ years ago.

Mostly against a really horrible GT punt coverage team
That's not to say he isn't a good punt returner. I think he is. He a has a natural ability for it which isn't common. But unfortunately you only get a handful or so of decent touches as a PR over an entire season - and maybe fewer once the word gets out. So far in four games this season IIRC he really hasn't had one good opportunity to do much of anything. Guys are going to leave. This one hurts a bit, but not a ton. ** Edited by marcbvtgm at 9/25/2025, 4:22:29 PM

He was hurt last year. Led the ACC in return avg (12.9) his last full year

He will go to a team with their stuff together and close some yaps
Kids is tough fast and worked his tail off getting to college…3 hour daily commute over the mountains. He’s never had a college QB who could go past the first option and can’t hit a barn door from 35. Our return team blocking is non existent. Will be tracking him the next 2 years and wishing him best.

Agree. He’s a player and a worker. Don’t like to lose him or Lovette.

And 12.9 is HUGE.

He’ll have a great college career at a G5 or FCS school. It’s a great…
Move on his part. I suspect he would have been leaving after this season regardless of Pry being here or not.

Holloway is talented, but wasn't getting the opportunities as a receiver

Definitely has talent
Looked like he needed to add some muscle from his freshman year to be a really good p4 receiver. I didn't see too much progress.

could players stay and redshirt?
wonder if anyone who hasn't redshirted was offered the opportunity to do so? I would have been ok with that but get why it could derail the locker room. still, it would be nice to keep talent until the new hire is here, its not like they cant transfer at the end of the year.

Technically yes? But I'm not sure that benefits anyone involved. It's more
likely that guys might enter the portal and then decide to stay once the new coach is announced.

So the first place our new coach looks is Oklahoma State and UCLA
