It’s officially official….
Avdalas is now the second highest rated Virginia Tech recruit of all time.
In the Class of 2025 including intl and American recruits he is ranked 50th.
Avdalas is also the 2nd rated intl recruit on 247.

The rating you see above is a composite, and for someone like Avdalas, the composite is going to be lower than a typical 5-star because some outlets either dont rank or have yet to rank overseas recruits.
Avadalas is undoubtedly the highest ranking VT basketball recruit to have ever come to VT. Including Dell Curry, including DFS. He will be a Top 16 recruit on 247 at the very least, but likely closer to Top 10.
McDonald's invites 24 All-Americans to their game, some of which are not ranked in the Top 25. So, Dell Curry likely would have been top 20-ish. DFS was 17th.
Avdalas would've gotten a McDonald's All American invite if he were...American

I remember he was a McDonald’s AA so he must’ve been top 25?
Also Bimbo, was he highly regarded in high school?

While retaining his Top 3 players in minutes played
Not bad for a guy who can't recruit

Ranks VT 5th in terms of overall additions. Behind Louisville NCST UNC and Duke, wow!

Once again, this is the most talented group of players Mike has ever coached. We all need to kick butt OOC, especially in the ACC - SEC Challenge! We need to win that this year!

losing. They hop on the board to criticize the coaches and players, then disappear when the game is over. They never show when said VT is winning.

Avdalas as a Fr is at least comparable to (but probably a little ahead of) NAW as a Sophomore. So….I’m thinking - most NBA ready player to play at Tech since Del Curry in his Sr. year.
