It was a shoe issue that got Gburg fired.
The signed player's dad ask shoe company for more money after he had great year after signing. Shoe dude wanted him released from his letter.
The rest is in hooker's book about U of L recruiting..

Not sure his SOP will work well with NIL. He takes a rebuild job,
Brings in a good first class, plays his young team, takes his lumps. As they become experienced and skilled they win more. It's a 4/5 year plan and he takes his rebuild rep and markets it for a new job...never more than 5 years anywhere. NIL may not work with that plan.

Great player, my best memory, a couple friends
and I sat a few rows up about the 40 at spring game M Vick's freshman year. He made a run up the sideline right in front of us. RW hit him really hard just as he stepped out of bounds. Drew a flag. He was quoted saying Mike was his roommate and he needed to know how hard he would be hit in a college game. Not sure anyone ever got to hit him that hard again.

Bimbo may have in the 141-133 double overtime win over So Miss in
Metro days. Finished with 51 total, 39 in second half including overtime. All I found was 10 in second OT. Lancaster score 39 but fould out at end of regulation. Leaving Coles to score most of OT points.

I think when Coach became available, the search
for GM first was dropped. I'm sure he
said "he will work for me" and they agreed. Most do report to the coach...

Maybe the OC will let his QB complete a pass in the red zone or
step one more yard for a first down or not fumble in red zone ot throw an interception on the first series, etc since he is now the HC interem.
I'm old and should not think and post like this... but I did see this in person.

An employee, the highway bandit, was caught after robbing the
Narrows store. He had hit several groceries near highways...union coal miner by night, bandit by day. Quite a surprise when I saw it on channel 7 news when visiting my dad on Thanksgiving.

It was great seeing video on X of Bill and
his sorority queen walking into basketball game, her 4 steps behind him and then getting a hand blocking the camera showing them in their seats. The comments were great.

Maybe, Miami can't seem to buy a team,
although they have tried for last few years in football and basketball. Try paying a 6'11" center $700k to stand under the basket and not one high paid guard will throw him the ball...0 for what in ACC this year. Coach walk away. I guess I don't know.

This reminded me that my grandparents had
a 3 volume set of books titled THE GREAT WAR, I think. Pictures of American soldiers who were killed in WWI. Name, rank, where they were from, maybe more. Probably 50 pictures per page. My grand parents were in their teens and had relatives/friends in the books

I guess I've been season holder since early 70's.
I kinda understand what they are trying to do, there are 4 seat beside me that some one in Richmond I think buys them that usually no one sits in. Nice to have the extra room, but there is no one to buy popcorn. Two years ago, I think it was, against Duke two closet Duke fans from Radford bought their seats..I had fun because they had Duke shirts under their coats. Told them they could take their coats off..

I've eaten at the Hillville exit a couple of times. Enjoyed it, I'm not going to hurt their all you can eat buffet, but my son can make me feel like I need to be very generous with the tip.
