My son played travel with him a number of years. Great kid and family. Super happy he picked us! He has an older sister at VT, an Alpha Phi I believe.

That's what I counted. The catcher is from Charlottesville. Guess he
already knows enough about wahoos to choose VT>

It’s interesting that Miller School near Crozet, Va was originally a school for discipline challenged/“problem†kids. One of my first cousins attended there for a year or so, and a former coworker and his twin brother spent their entire high school years there.

Nothing wrong developing a pipeline with that school

I grew up in Charlottesville in the mid-70s to early 80s, and there was a younger kid in our neighborhood who had drug issues and other problems, and he wound up at the Miller School. Got things turned in the right direction and is fine now as an adult ... as far as I can tell via Facebook. ðŸ˜

So I was there the summers of 1984, 1985, and 1986. Good times. I have a couple of really good stories about the Dell from those summers.
What about you?
What about you?

Hey Will, I meant to say they tore down the Dell courts and built new ones behind Mem Gym. Thank you. Hope you guys get to host a Regional and Super Regional for baseball. I am a Virginia fan but I don't dislike y'all. My sister is a Tech Grad. Have a great weekend.

Yes, I was a regular from mid 70's to about '84. Good times indeed. I also have some good stories. I probably played with and against you. It is nice to be able to look back at fun we had playing there. It gone now. No more Dell. Thanks!

I think the movie "Toy Soldiers" was filmed on-site at the Miller School.
At least some of it.

Years later I ended up working a bit with Sean Astin's older brother.
He was a programmer and really didn't want to talk much about anything related to show business, particularly any references to his Dad and the Addam's Family.

Professionally it was better to be in C’Ville. But we bought a place in Cburg in 99 so we could periodically escape.

That’s completely worth it. I considered several brewing gigs in C’Ville at one point. For a lot of people there’s good job/professionals choices in the Ville.
