Football is the scapegoat here. Football IS the better investment at VT
The problem is definitely Babcock. It should never come down to a football vs basketball decision. Both are your only real revenue sports. You have to adequately fund them both.
Not only does he not do that, and hasn't for years, he fails to effectively generate funding in pretty much every other facet that a competent AD would.
I'm not sure at all how the BOV can look at this and not come to the conclusion that an immediate ouster is needed. Especially given that they just had to step in and fix the football mess for him.

At this point, I don't really care about keeping up with OSU necessarily
I'm not sure we ever crack the 1% of college football again unless things radically change. There may be seismic shifts IF TV (and I think WHEN, but who knows) contracts begin to shrink.
Right now, I just want us to perform at our ceiling and with our legitimate peers. We're failing miserably at that. We have momentum with the BOV vote and renewed commitment to football but ... and this is nothing more than my opinion ... not showing Whit the door and really shaking up the AD is holding a lot of potential donors back.
As we are apt to do, we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

I just went through this. Find a spray with permethrin as the ingredient.
I can't recall which brand I used, I think it was labeled as a mosquito killer. Regardless, it worked great. Salt worked, just really slowly.

I recently ordered some mats from them
First purchase, I was really impressed. They called me to let me know the ones I ordered were still on their way to the US and weren't sure when they'd arrive. They just wanted to make sure I was ok waiting. He spent the time then to reconfirm I had ordered the correct ones, which I had.
Really friendly, super helpful. Still seemed like no time that they got them to me despite the shipping concern.
Just based on one experience but I would highly recommend.
