We only had 4 returners last year. This year seems to be the same.

This is what college basketball is at the moment. If you have an underperforming year you should expect a lot of change to the roster for a variety of reasons. If last year's team didn't meet the muster then fans should be happy we aren't running it back with all of the same players.

Generally it is $$$ & playing time related

This is a new day, players believe they hold one value and the team puts a different value on them. When those two don't align then the player can test the open market. The average fan is never going to get the real story.
