Posting History (214)

So the players meet today and voted - and that was it? It doesn't work that

way for most employees - which is pretty much what this amounts to these days. Where's the leadership to say: No vote - we're playing.

Looks like there will be a lot of generators, lanterns, batteries, etc,

returned this week. I'm glad the freezing rain/power outages seemingly won't materialize much, but the rate at which anything related to power outages was flying off the shelves yesterday at home improvement and hardware stores was insane.

I just told someone the same thing. I know some long time "seasoned" NFL

fans that couldn't stream if their life depended on it - my Dad being one of them. I get it with a handful of regular season games, but the playoffs should be accessible to everyone.

That Bills/Bengals game looks good but I'm stuck watching Commanders

getting smoked....again. NFL's regional coverage policy stinks when you're not that interested in the regional teams. And no.....I'm not paying for Sunday Ticket or whatever it is.

I was thinking that too. That location on 29 north will be brutal if

it's generating much traffic heading south back toward 64. Especially since they shot down the bypass forever ago.

Everybody knows KB's play there is GA dribble down the floor and shoot. How

do you possibly leave her that wide open? That's been the go-to play ever since Kitley was injured.

I wonder if any of them will try to return to the PGA once their original

LIV contracts expire. That should be coming up soon for a few of the first to defect. They will have banked plenty of $$$ by then, and might be tired of the LIV experiment.

Add to that, Cassell - especially an empty Cassell - doesn't hold much

appeal when compared to other facilities. Sure, there's appeal to older alumni because of that nostalgia factor I guess, but, honestly, when compared to pretty much anybody else it ain't much. When VT's winning and it's packed, all good. When they're losing and it's empty, the warts show.

Any idea how many ACC schools have a dedicated volleyball facility? I don't

know the answer, but my guess is trying to recruit at the highest level to play in Cassell is a losing proposition. So yeah, throw in the towel and continue at club level. No reason to think they can compete for a championship given the facilities hole IMO.

FSU's problem is the band only plays the War Chant thing after 90% of the

plays - should be 100%. Just kidding. But seriously, enough already - I'm sick of it.

FSU, Clemson, NCSU, & VT to B12 is the latest thing I see being tossed

against the Twitter (X?) wall. Like all the other scenarios flying around, probably nothing to it.

We have them. I like them - except mine don't bloom anywhere close to a

month. Not even a week in fact. The great thing is the deer leave them alone though.

Yeah, I think it was the right call. But when it's that close it seems like

replay officials just stay with the call on the field a lot. I told somebody when it takes that long to decide it's too close to overturn....on the other hand I think they got it right.

That's what I'm thinking too. Okay, so a fair number of fans were upset he

didn't say goodbye, thank you, whatever - and voiced their disappointment about that. But all of the hand wringing over deployable comments, vicious comments - it just seems way overblown to me. There may be a handful out there, but 95% of it seems to be rather mild disappointment about the way he left, which you would see anywhere.

Good grief! ACCN lead in to the game shows VT tied with UNC for the top

spot in the standings. I'm fairly certain that's not the case since UNC lost lost night. I guess 20 hours to update it and push UNC to 2nd, with VT alone at the top, isn't enough. Maybe I'm missing something.
