Which LIV player(s) would you most like to see return to the PGA? For me..
the only one is Bryson D. Could care less about the others.

None, I don't particularly like any of them. In my mind, they have all
retired.

Cam, DJ, Phil, Patrick, Sergio, Rahm and Bryson off the top of my head.
I don’t care much for the LIV format and rarely watch their tournaments, but they have a roster of stars I would love to see back in the PGA.

Why does anyone want to watch Phil or Sergio anymore?
Unless you are hoping they are on the Senior PGA (or Champions or whatever they call it now) tour?

Same reason people watch Tiger.

Ummm, not even close

I’ll give you Sergio. But Phil’s star power is up there with Tiger’s.

Phil has some star power but it's not up there with Tiger. We'll have to
agry to disagry on that one.

I wonder if any of them will try to return to the PGA once their original
LIV contracts expire. That should be coming up soon for a few of the first to defect. They will have banked plenty of $$$ by then, and might be tired of the LIV experiment.

I ask this question from a point of admitted ignorance
At what level of fandom do fans start knowing who is with which tour? I'm a very casual fan -- I could identify by name many of the top golfers, but I couldn't tell you which tour they're on. Is this something only the hardcore fans care about? If fandom was on a scale of 1-100, with 1 being never paying attention and 100 being "I'm watching every minute, reading about it, going to tourneys, etc." at what point does the split start to matter?

I only know who is on LIV because I see them NOT participating in...
...regular PGA tour events anymore. They only pop up in major tournaments. I think it's a shame for golf fans. People want to regularly watch the best golfers in the world compete against each other, and now that group is squarely divided into two different tours, and they really only intermingle in 4 tournaments a year, plus international competitions. I've only seen LIV tour events in passing while channel surfing. I fully admit my opinion is biased, but I was shocked at what a clown show the broadcast and format seemed to be. Setting aside my personal feelings about how the whole LIV thing came to be and the guy pulling the strings (Greg Norman), I would still have zero interest in watching that brand of golf.

Follow-up, also out of ignorance, why do fans hate the LIV? Is it loyalty
to PGA and "how golf should be played"? Is it the Saudi financing? I am not a golf person, so my apologies for not knowing this. In my incredibly limited exposure to LIV vs PGA articles it seems like the PGA players all hate the LIV guys too. Is it jealousy over how much the LIV guys are getting paid or is it because of where the money is coming from? As with all topics, I have no dog in this fight and I know nothing about anything.

From my perspective, the LIV guys went after a payday rather than...
...playing golf because they love the game and wanted to compete against the best players. I mean, Dustin Johnson publicly said he wanted to play less golf. I'm not sure most of the guys on the LIV tour are really taking their game nearly as seriously as they would be if they were still on the PGA tour. Which is certainly their prerogative. But if I'm going to watch a televised sporting event, I want to watch the absolute best...not some rich guys that probably aren't putting in as much work as it takes to be the best.

Or they can buy their way back in. We'll call it revenue sharing
And Norman and Phillis can suck it
