Won't happen I know, but I wish games on TV included info on each team's

NIL $$$. It's turning into THE factor determining winners and losers, but to watch a game on TV it's as though it doesn't even exist. Like I said, I'm aware it will never happen.

Go to an established winner and you better win right away. Go to a Kentucky

and enjoy a great salary and great facilities while they have to be patient (for years) while you build it. Just a thought.

I've always stayed fully invested (early 60s) but just recently I'm selling

and adding to cash every day. Sooner or later - and it will catch everyone off guard, the major buyers of US debt are going to say we don't want anymore - get your house in order. People speculate it could be a few years, but maybe not - and when it happens everything is going down very far very fast. I've ridden that ride too many times - too old to go it again. I'll take my 5% FDIC insured CDs (I hope those will be safe?) and be happy.

That's the first time I've seen it. That's a foul, or at the very least

it's marginal enough that I'm surprised at all of the outrage I've seen here. It's not just a lean forward bracing herself. She clearly slides to her right.

I thought he was all about getting back to Texas (the state). Is his

looking to get out a preemptive move before he's possible removed, or was the whole going back to Texas narrative overblown?

Yeah, I was more curious if anyone has a feel for the projected team

finishes. I'm not going to take the time to do the math on it, but I'll be following the results.

Lunardi (I know, I know): currently 5 from Mountain West, 3 from ACC. Even

if it's only clickbait, I don't have to like it. Pick on another conference for a change.

Watching Kentucky/USCe and many, many times waiting for whistle to blow but

it doesn't. And man it's such a nicer product to watch when they're letting both sides play.

I feed my dog in the garage in the mornings, door closed but not latched so

she just pushes it open and comes back in when she's done. This morning she came back in almost immediately and went to the fireplace - I assumed she wasn't hungry. A couple minutes later she wanted back in the garage and I obliged. Came right back in the second time and I realized what she was doing. She would sling a mouthful of food in the floor by the fireplace then eat it there. She had decided she was going to eat inside one mouthful at a time. Like me, I guess she doesn't tolerate the cold well anymore.

Yeah it's frustrating for sure. ACC/SEC challenge ended 7-7 it think, but 8

SEC teams in and only 3 ACC according to Lunardi. So the narrative is set: SEC good, ACC bad - and now that conference play has started and all you do is play other conference teams, it's hard to change that narrative. As you said it's somewhat meaningless, but it still gets under my skin.

Without getting political, it can't help VT's case that southwest VA is

losing influence in Richmond. I don't recall the gentleman's name, but I heard someone from Cardinal news on the radio a week or so ago reeling off names of long serving central and southwest VA legislators that have recently stepped aside. He was making the point that influential voices advocating for southwest VA in Richmond are rapidly fading, and projects/favors they have secured in the past will be harder to come by going forward.

My 80-somethig Dad still likes the print version of the newspaper. If by

chance that's your situation extending the subscription by a year or a quarter or whatever isn't a terrible idea. Not exactly a great gift for the opening experience but somewhat practical.

Not that I've tried very hard, but the few times I've tuned in I've had

a little difficulty following the scoring. It's like they're trying to show team scores and individual scores - I just haven't engaged my brain enough to follow what exactly they're trying to show me I guess. But I agree - even setting that aside it's not working for me. I keep reading how great it's going, but as long as their product is stuck on CW Network with bad ratings and small crowds I don't see how it makes it. How many football leagues have tried to take on the NFL and failed?

USC-e has made tremendous strides academically. A lot of applicants think

they'll get accepted no problem and find out the hard way it's not that way anymore - especially for out-of-staters.

That part of the article seemed somewhat hypothetical/speculative to me.

I'm guessing the writer has no more idea of who's more attractive to P2 than the rest of us - just assuming things.

Seems like the backlash of PAC-12 imploding has been pretty strong. Any

chance the criticism of where this thing seems to be headed would cause ACC presidents - and maybe TV networks - to tap the brakes and take a fresh look at a way forward that is more sensible than super conference geographic hodgepodge? Sounds crazy I know - I just wish somebody in authority - and with options - would stand up a say enough already.
