US Open Updates
Senior Men's Freestyle 65 kg - Bo Bassett - #6 Seed - 4-0 Record; Wrestling in Finals tonight vs. #1 McKenna 70 kg - Melvin Miller - #7 Seed - 3-1 Record [Loss to Caleb]; Wrestling in Conso-Quarters today vs. #6 Ed Scott 70 kg - Caleb Henson - #2 Seed - 4-0 Record; Wrestling in Finals vs. #5 Lovett 70 kg - Drew Gorman - Unseeded - 3-2 Record [Losses to Bo, #5 Hardy] 74 kg - Bryce Andonian - #8 Seed - 4-2 Record [Losses to #11 Webster, #1 Carr] 74 kg - James Green - #5 Seed - 4-0 Record; Wrestling in Finals tonight vs. #11 Webster 86 kg - Mekhi Lewis - #5 Seed - 3-1 Record [Loss to #3 Welsh]; Wrestling in Conso-Quarters today vs. #8 Rogers 97 kg - Sonny Sasso - #8 Seed - 1-2 Record [Losses to #1 Buchanan, UR Malczewski] 125 kg - Jimmy Mullen - #10 Seed - 4-1 Record [2 Wins by Forfeit, Loss to #6 Wood]; Wrestling today in Conso-Quarters vs. #9 Hopke My Take - All the losses were basically expected and chalk with one exception. Sonny's loss to Malczewski was not pretty. The match was not as close as the score would indicate and he ran out of gas at the end, giving up the late takedown. Webster was underseeded at 74 kg so the loss by Bryce was not surprising. Bo and Caleb look great and James Green is a force, would absolutely love to have that stud in the room in a day to day basis. Looking forward to seeing the young guns below on the mat today!! U20 Men's Freestyle 57 kg - Alex Rozas 61 kg - Owen McMullen 65 kg - Bo Bassett 65 kg - Aaron Seidel [SCRATCHED] 70 kg - Melvin Miller 74 kg - Blake Jacobson 79 kg - Ryan Burton 79 kg - Mario Carini 97 kg - Max Konopka U17 Men's Freestyle 55 kg - Keegan Bassett

Wish Bo would sit U20s out with a spot in the finals
This is the only chance to make Final X with Woods medaling last year. I know he's got a killer gas tank, but it seems like such an unnecessary disadvantage to put himself at. I felt he didn't have enough left in the tank in his 3rd match with Stanich last year in a similar situation, and he can still make the U20 team at trials.

Really good take.
Besides, if he makes the Senior team, does he really want the 20U spot as well? Love to see Bo take the seniors and Seidel the 20U at 65kg

Did I see that Seidel scratched? Maybe that was in the SR division?

Minor injury as reported by a poster yesterday.

Doesn’t he get first dibs on the U20 spot if he makes top 3 for seniors?
So a win over McKenna guarantees both if he wants it? Been a while since I’ve brushed up on my team selection criteria but I think you automatically get the age level spot if you make the senior team in any capacity.

Is that for u20 or u23? Or both?
I think there was a chance of Cooper Flynn losing his U23 spot based on senior level results

I thought U20, U23, but not U17. Could be wrong
