125 kg - Jimmy Mullen - #10 Seed - 4-1 Record [2 Wins by Forfeit, Loss to #6 Wood]; Wrestling today in Conso-Quarters vs. #9 Hopke
My Take - All the losses were basically expected and chalk with one exception. Sonny's loss to Malczewski was not pretty. The match was not as close as the score would indicate and he ran out of gas at the end, giving up the late takedown. Webster was underseeded at 74 kg so the loss by Bryce was not surprising. Bo and Caleb look great and James Green is a force, would absolutely love to have that stud in the room in a day to day basis. Looking forward to seeing the young guns below on the mat today!!

This is the only chance to make Final X with Woods medaling last year. I know he's got a killer gas tank, but it seems like such an unnecessary disadvantage to put himself at. I felt he didn't have enough left in the tank in his 3rd match with Stanich last year in a similar situation, and he can still make the U20 team at trials.

Besides, if he makes the Senior team, does he really want the 20U spot as well? Love to see Bo take the seniors and Seidel the 20U at 65kg

So a win over McKenna guarantees both if he wants it? Been a while since I’ve brushed up on my team selection criteria but I think you automatically get the age level spot if you make the senior team in any capacity.

I think there was a chance of Cooper Flynn losing his U23 spot based on senior level results
