Interesting post regarding VT 133 next season over on IM...
AlderPeak posted the following: ___________________________________________ I think Seidel not making 133 next season is a serious consideration, albeit one not set in stone since that's six months away. But there's been rumors about a top 133 recruit possibly switching to VT (Nicholas Garcia) and he's one that could start next season as a true freshman if Seidel doesn't make weight. I think those rumors lend some credence to the thought that Dillon Campbell's injury concerns (neck) may still be a lingering issue come next season. Now, the Garcia thing could be completely separate from Seidel and Campbell and just be standard recruiting, but if you're Robie, why go after a flip this late in the ballgame unless you have a pressing need for next year? Curious to see if VT gets mentioned with 133 transfers, as well. Just the fact that they're sniffing around that weight could say something about Seidel's weight and Campbell's injury. _____________________________________________________________________ Signing a 133 kid with a redshirt to use is the optimal scenario. The coaches would be able to delay a decision on Seidel until late Winter if needed while preserving a new signing's RS. Nicholas Garcia fits Brian Swaw's tweet last week about a B1G recruit swapping a shade of Orange (Illinois) to that of an ACC school. The coaches could use Garcia early if necessary at Opens and Duals November/December while figuring out if Seidel can handle a cut. Garcia will be a hell of a college wrestler. Also, this is the first I've read that Dillon allegedly suffered a neck injury. ** Edited by VTDante at 4/9/2026, 2:27:31 PM

The Henson disrespect is insane on the thread🤣
He easily cakewalks the 149 bracket if he didn't redshirt 🤣

I haven’t seen anyone say that
But if they did they don’t know wrestling! You’re correct he steam rolls the field if he went this year! Mad respect for him sitting and waiting for next year!!! Go Hokies!!

Ridiculous nonsense.
Also, this is Calebs team...as he goes VT goes. Which means Seidel is wrestling, Bo is wrestling, etc. It is his senior year and he wants a trophy. Captain Caleb baby.

Read your DM's on 247 lol
VT was leading heavily for Garcia when he privately de-committed back at the end of March. Michigan was still in the picture. Don't know if it's changed at all but VT was nearly a lock to get him. Supposedly we went after him which is why he asked out of his LOI

I didn't know DC's injury was neck, but did hear it was pretty bad.
Crazy situation to be in with Seidel, Bo, and Henson all way too close to the same side as each other.

DC was in a neck brace before NCAAs on the Tech Wrestling Instagram.

DC was in a neck brace the whole time in Cleveland...
I didn't ask him about it, but he never took it off the times I saw him over the four days...

Was it a wrestling injury, car accident or something else? Yikes, that
sounds scary. Hope he recovers well. There was an interview with Seidel where he says something to the effect that it's terrible what happened to him and that Dillon's a great 'kid'.

That’s a tough injury to recover from for a wrestler
BC LaPrad had a neck injury to some degree.
