He's not actually seeded 2nd. There are no second seeds. It's based off the region and the regions placement. Kinda like VA. It goes something like this. Quadrant 1: A1vD4 B2vC3 Quadrant 2 B1vA4 C2vD3 Q3: C1vB4 D2vA3 Q4: D1vC4 A2vB3 And so on. Every state is a little different, but it's designed so you typically avoid your region/sectional/district in the first couple of rounds. Which is the fairest way to do it. Also, Mineo said he was the 2nd seed. So you should probably not believe anything he says. He's like a broken clock. He gets lucky when he's right about something.

McCort had second choice at that weight so I believe Harer's team just forfeited that match to avoid facing Bo.

Although I don’t think he is cutting much, if at all. He almost always looks smaller than his opponents.
