Discussed the returners, transfers and freshmen, along with the new staff hires and the revenue-sharing landscape. I'll have a story tomorrow morning since I'm traveling this afternoon.

Their starters were 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 6-5 & 6-5. They used a zone press and went 30-0. They averaged 89 ppg with no dunks or 3-pointers and held their opponents to 70 ppg

one of those "cheater"* strategies that don't work as well when the other teams have blue chip players. Also kind of amusing that the coach after him at VCU did just as well.
Maybe a Kim Caldwell approach? Although I suspect she too will end up playing more straight up basketball when she gets the better players. I suppose she may have wanted to do havoc anyway and who better than Shaka when they're in the same building even if he doesn't do it as much these days.
*that is, you cheat up in one place but means you're leaving somewhere else exposed, eg in football 8-in-the-box to stop the run but leaves you vulnerable to a good passing attack.
