Saw the ladies play in person for first time yesterday. Great to be able
to see the full court and so much action you don’t see on tv. Was impressed with Carleigh Wenzel. I really think she is very capable of putting up bigger numbers. Wish she would drive more. Cayla King is perhaps undervalued as a leader. It’s clear the younger girls look to her for leadership. She came up with some big defensive plays at key moments and has a very high Bball IQ. Clara Strack - wow. We have a great one on our hands. I thought she looked like Kitley Jr. at points in the first half yesterday. Very impressive and doesn’t back down. Great demeanor. Rose Micheaux - hats off to her. Very classy and played very well when called upon. Tough game today…but yesterday was encouraging and I think we got better with some good experience. Go Hokies!

Cayla played like a senior who's fought in the trenches for 4 years.
We need that senior leadership!

And it explains why Brooks has played her all year while some folks
screamed she wasn’t scoring enough. It’s so much more than just points.

Strack does not play like a freshman. She has a bright future as a Hokie.
Look forward to her playing next year.

Strack was a freshman in November,
She’s now playing like young veteran, great development!

Wenzel was tighter than a tick. She looked like she was playing scared
and just needs to relax and increase her court awareness. ** Edited by 74hokie at 3/9/2024, 9:45:01 AM ** Edited by 74hokie at 3/9/2024, 10:25:02 AM

She is sort of an enigma. At times, she seems too tense but then at other
times too relaxed and then careless. I think that’s just part of the learning curve—-lots to process out there when there are so many great athletes on the court. And…I really think she is hesitant at times to go full throttle and be as aggressive as she could because she is deferring to Georgia to start and make the plays-and that makes it difficult. ** Edited by BEST2VT at 3/9/2024, 9:53:53 AM
