I’m curious if most on here watch women’s college basketball other than
our Hokies. Historically, I have only watched our team. But I found myself watching some of the elite 8 matchups, and am tuning into the final four tonight. Do others watch lots of other games, or mostly just the Hokies?

For WBB I'll watch ACC games to scout the competition. I'll tune in to NCSU
games because my neighbor is an alum and we banter quite often.

Love the sport as a whole!
I will always be a faithful Hokie fan and follower, but also love watching women’s college basketball in general. I have a favorite team for most conferences and attend the Final Four each year regardless of who makes it. I loved the new Unrivaled league that just finished and enjoy the WNBA, too.

Watch VT, P5 games.
I am not watching TV all the time, for example... but I do watch a lot of games. I have gone to some games.. not as many at Cassell recently as it is hard. Went to the Ally Tipoff to see both USC and VT player their opponents.

I really don't watch anything other than Hokie sports...
I had to be at a certain place on Sundays so watched a lot of Commanders games this past year, would have loved to have been a kid again with all the late game heroics, but even the hail Mary isn't going to bring me back to those days. Yep, Hokies wrestling, softball and women's bball for me, may go ot the US tennis open or watch the tour de France (I play a lot of tennis and ride bikes often) so don't really watch games I have no connection too. Didn't watch the CFP etc Did go to the Vanderbilt game but that kind of broke me, and even then I make sure I do other stuff to have a good trip. (like catch music etc.) ** Edited by `lag at 4/5/2025, 10:31:14 AM

Mostly just Hokies...but that applies to most sports nowadays....
Don't watch any baseball, soccer, WSoccer, and not much softball if VT isn't playing... College foosball and a little wrestling prolly only sports where I'll watch non-Hokie participants...but not alot anymore...

No way. Don’t like the dumbed-down rules.

I watch on occasion. But more top 25, not top 10
The good top 25 teams generally have nice balance and can score from inside or outside. But I don’t like games such as this final four UT USC game. It’s just pound it inside all game long. Only 13 total 3 point attempts for the game (total across both teams) and it’s the 4th quarter (out of 84 shots so far). Teams that don’t shoot the 3 get kind of boring. This is just a size and physical contest.

Texas doesn’t shoot the 3 much or well.
I imagine they will prioritize a 3 point shooter in the portal. SC is playing off the shooters clogging the lane.

Watch as much WBB or more than men.
There are more quality teams than there used to be.

Between the portal, the money and athletes not really growing
I enjoy womens basketball more than anything right now. Soon about to look at track and field schedule for next year or plan to attend Acc or one of the big events. If you have never been to one of the top collegiate track and field events like in Indy, out West or other highly recommend. Great Athletes and entertaining. College football I follow in regards to recruits but I am not going to waste my hours anymore following the players, will know them as the season starts and grows but there is just too much crapy anymore in college sports. I hope the limit it to 1 transfer during the 4 years and stop all of this stuff. Unless your medical injury.

I personally watch a lot of women's games.
I personally just enjoy basketball in general. Doesn't matter if it is women's or men's. Basketball is basketball to me.

I only really have time to watch the Hokies
But I follow the stories and teams pretty seriously as much as I can.
