Long Ball Leaders
There are some BIG Booms going on. Hopefully they got on the plane along with the players today. Nora looks like she was on fire! Six of the Top 10 belong to her.

I want to see the exit velo on the foul ball Kylie hit. Holy Moly!

Her bat seemed quicker than a Cori swing. All over that pitch.

That was sub-sonic speed. You could see the ripples on the faces of the
fans sitting on the hill to the right!!!

As much as I love to see us hit HR's I'll take base hits as long as it
plates more runs than the opponent.

And over 50% of their hits are singles. Even higher percentage of singles
and walks.

Pete wants the ball hit hard, wherever it goes.
Said it can be mishandled or scoot through the infield.

Isn't that sort of a captain obvious comment by the coach?
What coach doesn't want the ball hit hard? Is a coach really going to say, I really want our team to hit it softly. I suppose an argument could be made that some coaches are more interested in contact and putting the ball in play, but clearly this lineup doesn't have a Kelsey Brown type slasher.

nOT Necessarily. When there are philiosophy statements
Some coaches will emphasize: "putting the ball in play." - as you said "slap hitting to get on base." - as you said! - Actually Addison Foster was more of a slapper until her second year at Stetson. To be more accurate, she drag bunted, she slapped, etc. But she got away from slapping. Where you might see if translate is the limited bunting we do. So, while it might sound "yeah, duh" or intuititive, it isn't necessaruily a given mantra. TO your point, it isn't abot "hard" or "soft", it is the approach to hitting ** Edited by VAHokie89 at 5/14/2026, 5:03:40 PM

Kylie said she switched to left side as a slapper.
Pete told her she would need to work on hitting [like she does now...well].

Many coaches. Lot of slap hitters out there.

Most of them are the same from the last list, so I’ve concluded that this
is a season-long leaderboard. But Nos. 3, 4 & 7 are all new. So not bad that 3 of the top 10 came this week.

Nos 3 and 4 match the Box Score from Duke
Kylie's did not have the distance in the Box score nor did anyone post iton the message board.

Kylie's would have rolled the furthest. ; )

Maybe one of your interns can figure out the dates of the rest of the list.

Those must’ve been vs Duke then?

I *think* they’re from practice, but it remains a mystery.

As Chip says they do seem to match the ones hit vs Duke
Kylie’s distance estimate looks about right for that one too but I thought it had higher exit velo than Nora’s as it got out of there so fast

Yeah, it would be nice if there was a column w/ the date. Maybe I
assumed they were from practice because they were usually tweeted out late in the week, just prior to the next series.

Are these practice numbers?
I’m never sure when/where they happen?

If correct, probably measured during their "100 HRs in an hour" drill.
