Let's say we get to host as a #16 seed and win. Wouldn't that mean that we
would play a Super Regional Best of 3 against the #1 seed (assuming they had also won)??

Wouldn't it be possible to house teams in the new athletic dorm? Classes have ended by then and there should be plenty of available rooms.

Maybe Lexington, etc…….

Carter Hill and I took the labor of looking at every ADEQUATE hotel within the 30 mile radius. Every half-decent hotel was fully booked through Saturday and almost all of them were fully booked through the entire weekend.

Just being facetious though.
You could probably get a waiver if there were openings at decent/adequate hotels in the Roanoke Valley area.

They only offer the air-conditioned rooms, and I highly doubt the NCAA would allow Tech to host teams, umpires, etc., in non-air-conditioned rooms. They also seem to have been sold out this year.

. . . installed if there was absolutely no chance of hosting? I don't for a minute think graduation took hosting off the table.

But maybe the new AD will have other thoughts……
Or at least be able to fully explain why or why not there are charges for softball admission.

But if we're the #18 seed, we would play on the road versus the #15 seed and then go visit the overall #2 seed.
Pick your poison.
