Coach Pete, in Roanoke Times article was quoted to say, "We (VT) can play with anyone." Too soon to say that, the last few years we have not been good in late May and June when it mattered. And now Clemson beat us. Sorry Pete you spoke too soon.

I see a coach confident in his team and trying to instill confidence while keeping them grounded all the same. Being good is a fine line between being too cocky and be really good.

being D1 athletes and playing a good game. We've had 31 good games vs 5 not as good at the time and yet we still could have won last night with one or two swings of the bat at the opportune time.

Plus the laid out catch that stole 2 runs. That’s a 2 run RBI hit vs 95% of college outfielders

who has one of the best pitchers in the country and then give Alabama all they want. They can and have played with pretty much everyone they have stepped on the field with. Last night was disappointing no doubt but win the next 2 and noone bats an eye at it.

Again…Clemson beat UGA 10-1; they beat SC 8-0
MS St 3-0
Combined, VT and Clemson have 9 wins vs SEC teams. We CAN beat anybody. We also can lose to any team in the top 50-75 on a given day
