Friends, please keep Bre Peck in your prayers today
Bre is undergoing back surgery today in Roanoke.
Her back has been an issue since the fall and she played the entire season in pain but never complained a single time. Somehow she still hit over .300 and blasted 14 home runs.
She is a special young lady and a true warrior.
If you are so inclined, I respectfully ask that you join me in praying for a successful surgery and fast healing for a special young lady.
Thank you.

💯 and again why keyboard warriors should check themselves at times. *We*
just never know what a particular student athlete is going through. Spoke to her grandfather last night and that’s not the only injury she battled through during the season. Not once did she want to be removed from the line up. I might add, she never complained as Coach Pete moved her around from position to position. She had never played outfield until she came to Tech. Bre is a team player through and through, and it was a pleasure to meet and speak with her last night. Praying for her quick and full recovery 🙏.

with the exception of catcher. Don't recall for sure.) He seemed to be proud of that. But, like every player I am sure she had preferences. I know she liked the increased action at 3rd. But, just did what she was asked. And that's a credit to her character for sure. And right, never heard her complain.

and prayers to Bre for a successful surgery! Certainly adds a lot of context to her season performance and a stark reminder that things may not be what they seem. Those that have dealt directly with back issues or been close to someone that has have some appreciation for the level of toughness and effort she displayed in trying to play through.

Every now and then, I will have back issues and I can't imagine walking up to the plate and swinging a bat as hard as she does while in pain.
