Thank you to the Ladies, Coaches, Staff etc.
It was very enjoyable and fun season from this spectators point of view. There is so much elite talent on this team, most of which it is sincerely hoped will return for another run at it next year. There is just so much to be proud of that this team accomplished. THANK YOU!!

They are out talented by a good bit, and they keep playing, working and trying. They are smiling and had a small recognition of our seniors too. Foes not mean I like em, but they have my respect.

Disappointed, but not discouraged,
These ladies do not quit. They kept working, they worked hard through both games. I may be disappointed, but I will bet the lady Hokies are a lot more disappointed than I am.

Had a lot of fun with this team this season!
The most consistent thing, no quit in this team all year long. They kept working, no let downs.
Thank you CD and the players for the good times, It has been a lot of fun. Looking forward to next year.

Great Team Great Year so far
UNC was the better team last night, do not loose sleep over it. Very proud of how the team never gave up and kept playing hard and working hard every trip down the floor, in either direction. Proud of the coaching staff and players! You all just kept getting better all year long. Defensive intensity kept getting better all year, playing together as a team on offense improved big time. Just missing a piece or two to take down the elites.
Hope you get at least one win in the big dance, and t ake it from there.
I am very much looking forward to fantastic things next season!

90 days
Work hard on your PT for 90 days and you will be 90% recovered. The last 10% can take up to a year but after 90 days it is is pretty much as good as it gets, but you have to put in the effort.

Good Technique
when trying to get a ball past a defender, when you are ahead of them getting to the rim.
If the defender is even or ahead of you use your body to shield the ball from the defender keeping the ball close to your body.
Pull up jumper from 10 feet or less when the defender is waiting for you to get there.

There is a lot wrong with this team
It is difficult to find a place to start. Size is big issue at just about every position. Playing a lot of 3 guard offense does not help that.
they do not seem good at basic defense against standard pick and roll or give and go.
Often out of position on defensive rebounding.
Losing players on D while trying to help.
Do not want to be a negative all the time person but the defense has got to step it up against good teams.
I do not fault the effort, I do not know the answer for them. I would try a lot of pressure defense with Wells and Sufren in maybe plus Nelson, Frelon and Baker.
Shake up the line up, shake up the defense and hope for the best.

Ladies, You were a class act all year long. You played hard, never quit, and won a lot of games. I have enjoyed it very much. I love the game you play and the way you play it.
To the seniors who have taken off the uniform for the last time. It is a difficult thing to do. You will have the memories for the rest of your life as will the fans. Thank you, now go and make the world a better place.
I will say I have a special place in my heart for Miss Peck. I remember when you signed to become a Hokie. I remember your first game at 3rd base. I was surprised at your move to CF this year. One thing that never surprised me was you had class, always. Big fan of your effort, skills, intelligence but most of all the hard work and dignity you brought with you. Thanks.

Wish her well, by my definition of Hokie, she is not one. Wish her well. She chose to follow KB and not remain a Hokie in my humble opinion. I harbor no ill will toward her.

Do not know how this will sit but GA played at VT but GA played for KB, she did not play for VT in my opinion. She is an Alumni of VPI&SU but that does not make her a Hokie in my opinion. A Hokie has love for the institution of Virginia Tech and GA had love for KB, more so than VT.
I have no hard feelings toward GA and certainly wish her well and the best of luck in her future endeavors. I did enjoy her intelligent play and nonstop motor while playing for KB at VT.
I have no idea why any of these NCAA ladies would want to play in the WNBA. It is a crap league that has very little audience. I am someone who has loved and followed women's basketball since the early 1970s. I was excited when the WNBA started. I went to a few Mystics games. I found the product on the floor to be greatly inferior to the NCAA. But that is just me.
